Rome: Colosseum, Arena, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill Guided Tour

The tour was excellent and good value for money. However, I booked the arena floor tour also and when i arrived at the tour operator (Crown) I was told that Get Youe Guide did not relay the full booking to them. I contacted GYG and eventually they apologised and refunded the money (which apparently they were not obligated to do so). I have 3 more trips booked through GYG and I am not confident that when I get to the venue i will get what I paid for, however when I mentioned this to the GYG agent, he did contact each of the venues and copied me to the email so I would get their response. But there is no guarantee they will respond to me. I will not use GYG again after this holiday as I have no faith in their diligence.

Booked Colosseum tour which included the arena. Was placed in a group that did not include the arena but was NOT told by tour company. When I asked GetYourGuide support if I was placed in the wrong group I was eventually told the arena group was full. This after they insisted I was confused and had not booked the arena tour. Long and short they reimbursed me 1/3 of the difference between the two tours. All very shady questioning what I booked, how much I paid. Wont book with GetYourGuide again.

The most frustrating and disappointing experience ever. The agent gave us a wrong location and we couldn’t find anyone there, we were running around with 2 young kids to figure out where the tour guide might be. Meanwhile the agent later mentioned another meeting point, with a completely different operating company name. Unfortunately with all of this mess, we missed the tour. He later deleted the WhatsApp conversations in the chats when confronted for his mess up and mistake. No one would like to experience anything like this on a vacation when everyday and planning is so crucial. Do not book this tour!!!

Our tour guide was absolutely fabulous, full of knowledge and very passionate about Rome and its history. It was amazing to see the history and quite overwhelming to go were people have walked many years ago. I would say it is definitely worth booking and good value for money. Thankyou for a wonderful experience and a day that we will remember for ever.
