Extremely disappointing experience and nothing like what we booked. I paid £426.60 for the Private Gondola Serenade, specifically because we wanted the gondola experience with live music. However, there was no singer, no musician and no serenade at any point during our ride. When we arrived, a man checked our ticket and told us to follow the gondolier. The gondolier then asked us for an additional €50 in cash, saying this was for the route we wanted to take. This additional charge was completely unexpected after already paying £426.60 for the booking. We also spent part of the experience stuck on the Grand Canal. What should have been one of the highlights of our trip to Venice instead became stressful and extremely disappointing. I have contacted GetYourGuide, who have escalated the matter for investigation. For the amount we paid, I absolutely did not receive the experience that was advertised and booked.

Beautiful experience and must do when you’re in Venice! Was lovely having the musician serenade! We were aware he was on another boat abut just wish they had put him in the middle of the boats. We were the last boat and so sometimes hard to hear him over the other canal noise, plus the guides would often talk to eachother which I think when your paying for the music they should respect the e fact they should be quieter. It was still a beautiful experience just tour guides need to be mindful that the short experience does cost a lot of money so need to allow the guests to enjoy the experience fully - slightly tweaking to allow for this
