Ab Sorrento: Vesuv-Tour mit Mittagessen und Weinverkostung

Great trip, relaxed transport there and back. The guide gave lots of useful information through out. Learning about the history of the volcano and the most recent eruption, also the future of it. The walk up the final 200m is hard work. Take your time and enjoy the views. Refreshment stops are along the way. Although no toilets after you go through the gate. You can celebrate your achievement, it’s an achievement getting to the top with a glass of wine. Views are amazing and mind blowing how many people live beneath such a dangerous as this volcano. We saw and smelt the steam coming out of the volcano. The walk down take it slow as the ground under foot almost rolls under foot, all manageable if you’re sensible. The winery is a great spot, with views of where you have just been. Food great and wine even better. Yes you go to the shop after a few glasses. Marketing at its best. Well it workedwe had to buy the Rose. Overall great day out!

The experience of going up Vesuvius was worthwhile and the lunch with wine tasting great. The end of the wine experience where we (exhausted) had to walk across the vineyard to be presented to by a very funny man who told us nothing really, and so it was pointless. Being exhausted I didn't appreciate that part. BTW they lie about the water stops. there is just one when you get to the top, not 3 as we were told. So take water with you.

A brilliant day from start to finish. The guide was informative and entertaining, the driver very skilful. Our walk up Vesuvius was great exercise it’s a shame cloud had gathered so we couldn’t enjoy the view from the top but it made it comfortable for the walk. Wine tasting and lunch was delicious. The talk about each wine was informative, not too extensive, with lots of wines to taste whilst tucking in to traditional Italian dishes. Thank you for a lovely day out.

Denna utflykt presenteras som en halvdagsutflykt, men det är det inte. Vi var borta i 8-9 timmar totalt. Tur att vi inte hade bokat något på kvällen... Vi klev på på en parkeringsplats inne i Sorrento, men eftersom utflykten arrangerades av Tui var bussen rejält försenad pga den åkte runt till alla deras hotell och hämtade folk. Ingen människa fanns på plats för att fråga , så vi hann bli rejält oroliga innan bussen kom. När vi äntligen kom i väg var vi jättenöjda med dagen. Fascinerande utflykt till Vesuvius och god mat och gott vin på vingården.

the time allocated at vesuvius was very good and I had a brilliant experience there even though it was busy, the guides recommendations proved valuable. the lunch and wine tasting was adequate for me as it didn't really interest me, but most people enjoyed it. the stop off on the way up was perfect and the the hosts were wonderful, as was their products.

I liked the Guide the most, the woman who really shows herself to be a professional from the first moment! About the trip, it is actually a tourist trap if you want to visit Vesuvius and you are not interested in their pasta and wine poured into glasses from one bottle to another! Not to be a nag... the trip is interesting but THE TIME TO VESUVIUS IS AN HOUR AND A HALF, and to go and come back as I am a fat person you need an hour calculated without breaks! So when you reach the end after an exhausting route, a puddle of water, you catch your breath, take two pictures and a video and you have to actually run back to the bus! You can break your legs if you are not careful! GIVE MORE TIME TO THE PEOPLE, THOSE FROM TUI ITALY because the main objective is Vesuvius and not advertising for drinks! For that you need at least 3 hourshours

Overall, the experience and guide were great. The only thing that was misleading was the timing. The package was advertised as taking 6 hours from 9am, but we were told when we started that it would take the entire day. It ended up being 9 hours which wasn't ideal. We had chosen this experience due to the projected end time of about 3pm so we could include other experiences afterwards (i.e., relaxing on the beach), but that was no longer possible.
