Bergamo: Privater Pasta-Kochkurs im Haus eines Einheimischen

Short version: It was perfect and we absolutely recommend everyone who wants to understand local handmade italien cuisine and considers doing this class with Alessandro to do it! Long version: The cooking class with Alessandro was amazing! He is a super open-minded and very welcoming person. He has a lot of knowledge of the local cuisine, cooking with him was a lot of fun and the result was delicious! It felt a bit like we knew each other for a longer time than just a few hours, especially when his sons joined, cooked and ate with us. We had a great evening and it was one of the best experiences of our vacation! We are looking forward to cook the receipes at home Thank you once again for this amazing evening.

Alessandro is the definition of Italian hospitality. From the moment he picked us up, we truly felt like he adopted us into his family. Being a long-time resident of Bergamo, Alessandro’s passion, historical expertise, and knowledge of culinary traditions are infectious. He taught us how to make different local pasta shapes along with his family’s Ragu, inspired by Emilia Romagna. My favorite were the casoncelli, the most famous pasta in Bergamo. While the food and lessons were amazing, the highlight was spending the entire afternoon with Alessandro (and his two wonderful, hilarious sons!) We shared an epic feast with his family and drank wine and chatted for hours. The class was supposed to be over at 1, but we ended up staying together until nearly 4pm — all just enjoying our time together too much! It was one of the best experiences we’ve had during our travels. We look forward to staying in touch with Alessandro and his family, and can’t wait to come back to visit!
