Ab Positano: Ganztägiger Bootsausflug nach Capri

Our guides took us to all the scenic spots around the coast of Capri, including a few caves. They stopped and took our photos at scenic spots, and let us swim before and after our time on Capri. Lots of beverage options and always offering more refreshments. I only wish our time on Capri was longer as we had only 2.5 hours and the bus to Anacapri took about 1/2 hr each way. It was a full day, but I wouldn’t have minded starting earlier (we were picked up from Positano at the set time - 930). So, if you’re looking for more time on Capri taking the ferry could be a better option (though I haven’t done it myself) and then again you wouldn’t be able to swim and see some of the caves and sights that we did.

The organization at the start of the tour was disappointing. It took much longer than expected. First, the pickup in Positano was delayed, and afterwards, the entire process leading up to boarding the boat was very slow and disorganized. This ended up reducing the time we had to enjoy Capri. The boat tour itself felt rushed. When we stopped at the main sights around Capri, there wasn’t even enough time.. In some places, we only had a minute or two to look before the boat moved on. So, if your goal is to enjoy a boat tour around Capri with time to admire the scenery and visit key landmarks, I wouldn’t recommend this one. Later, we had some free time in Capri, but again, it felt rushed and poorly organized. We had to rush off the boat, then onto the bus. Although we did spend some time in Capri, it was quite short. Then we had to quickly return to the boat. Overall, I expected more from this experience.. boat was beautiful, but..

My problem was not the boat itself or the guide. My problem is we were misled. In the description, it says snorkeling equipment will be provided. In the check-in point there was snorkeling equipment for sale and we deliberately didn’t buy. There was obviously, no snorkeling equipment on board for us to use. When we arrived in Sorrento from Positano, we had to wait 45 minutes for our guides to come get us and did not get on the water until 11:15 am. We did not arrive to dock on capri until 1:30 PM. We were also under the impression we would be back by 5 pm, because that is what the description says. Our captain said he would pick us up at 530 pm from Capri. My boyfriend and I decided to take the ferry back to Positano so we wouldn’t arrive back at 8 pm and waste more time. We were very mislead.

Lukas, the boat captain was amazing, providing us a light lunch, snack and drinks. We stopped twice to swim and boated all the way around Capri. He gave us lots of information about the island, pointing out things we would have never seen on our own. The only downside is that somehow we missed the fact that although the excursion says it is from Positano, the boat actually leaves from Sorrento, so we had a long van ride before and after. Our fun time on the boat with 10 other cohorts made up for it, though.

A única coisa boa é a natureza.

We had an incredible day with Luca as our boat captain! All of the people got along and had a blast and the Prosecco and Music was wonderful. The only thing that confused me was it said it left from Positano when I booked but really they picked us up by can in Positano and drove us to Sorrento to get on the boat. It worked out fine I just wasn’t aware that was what I booked. The boat was beautiful and the whole experience was very memorable! I was the only person with a little kid and everyone made him feel so welcome and comfortable! Such a great experience!

Great tour, fun boat trip around capri before some free time in capri itself. We got in to swim once on the trip to Capri and did one other waterfall activity on the way back. Definitely use the time take the shuttle (€20) and go to up to Ana Capri on the chair lift (separate ticket). Or have a few drinks by the port. Guides were helpful and fun. Shuttle from Positano will call your name at the meeting point (parking garage, has a free bathroom there). The shuttle ride made us more motion sick than the boat, though, haha.

This was very much over promised and under delivered. Soft drinks and alcoholic drinks we barely included. Also did not have any ability to go to the blue grotto so don’t expect that to be an option even though it says it’s an extra fee in the description. The tour guides were friendly on the boat but the travel to and from sorrento was unorganized at best. At the price point this should’ve been a better experience.
