The Pompeii tour in the morning was great. However, the hike of Vesuvius in the afternoon wasn’t exactly what we expected. We were the only people from our Pompeii tour who also did the Vesuvius hike, so it was a little confusing transferring to the second half of the day and finding the new group. We were supposed to have a guide for Vesuvius, but then were told to download an app instead, which did not work. That said, the hike to the top was well worth it for the views, even without a guide.
