Pisa, Siena und San Gimignano: Tagesausflug in kleiner Gruppe ab Florenz

  We originally booked a small group tour which was cancelled and transferred to a large group tour (around 70 people). We were worried that it would be too much but in fact it was ok. This was the second tour group that cancelled the small group tour last minute due to technical difficulty so I imagine they don’t often run them in summer due to demand, something to be mindful of. The highlight of the trip was the team. Alex and the crew did a fantastic job entertaining us in two languages, keeping things upbeat and light and keeping us on track, which is very important for a 12 hour tour. If you are like us and have a limited time to see some Tuscan countryside this is a great way to tick off the big 3. Lunch at the winery was a little commercial but ran really well for such a large group and the food was nice. The coach was roomy and air conditioned. Highlight of the 3 stops for me was San Gimignano such a beautiful little town with gorgeous panoramic countryside views.

  Une excursion incroyable la journée est assez rythmée mais la guide sara est douée pour maintenir la cadence Les lieux visités sont d’une grande beauté et être en petit groupe (14 personnes) est un grand avantage Le déjeuner au domaine viticole dans les vignes est vraiment un moment de douceur appréciable

  Really enjoyed this trip. We were in a small group of only 7 and travelled by mini van which meant the driver could drop us in town and there was no long walk which we would have if we were on the bigger bus. Transport was very comfortable. The trip itinerary was switched around so we started in Pisa and ended in Siena was which good as we arrived in Pisa just before 9am and beat the crowds. We only had 1 hour in each place and having a 1 hour tour in Siena meant we sadly had no free time there, we didn’t even have time for a coffee break! We got back to Florence at 5.30pm, far earlier than I had expected as the trip duration said 11.5 hours but was only 9.5 hours. It may be better to allow an extra 1 hour of free time in Siena to allow you to explore/stop for a drink or gelato. The winery lunch was very good - a lot of wine to try and good food but the wine tasting was not very detailed and there was no dessert! Overall a good trip.
