Kochkurs in Palermo mit Markttour oder Pasta- und Gelato-Kurs

Go hungry to this activity! A fabulous day under the guidance of our Chef, Salvo. We’re currently nearly in a food coma after sampling some street food during the market tour and eating the Pasta, Arancini and Canolo we made in our cooking glass. Ok, we probably should have had more self restraint but this is a vacation. So enjoyed meeting some lovely people from all over and learning some history about Sicily and its food culture evolution. This is a must do activity if you’re ever in Palermo.

Ciekawa atrakcja jako forma spędzenia czasu. Robiliśmy potrawy takie jak arancini, Busiata alla Norma czy cannolo na deser. Niestety potraw nie przygotowujemy od a do z dla siebie, po przygotowaniu bazy, np. ryżu czy sosu, dostajemy bazę od wcześniejszych grup, więc satysfakcja z przygotowania jest trochę mniejsza. Przygotowane aranchini smakowało jak stary olej i nic więcej. Robiony przez nas makaron był super, natomiast sos do alla Norma bardzo kiepski, jedliśmy dużo lepsze na mieście. Cannolo bardzo smaczne. Wycieczka na bazar była ciekawa, natomiast w pakiecie dostaliśmy tylko kilka ziemniaczków i placuszki do podziału na 5-osobową grupę. Atrakcja nie warta swojej ceny - jedzenia było mało, a to co było, było niesmaczne… Przewodnik Salvo nadrabiał urokiem osobistym i żarcikiem, ale na wiele lekcji gotowania w różnych krajach, gdzie przyrządzone przez nas jedzenie było wyborne i nie mieściło się na stołach tutaj było po prostu kiepsko.

We had an amazing experience with Towns of Italy – Tourist Hub & Cooking School in Palermo. Our day included a tour of the Capo Market followed by a hands-on cooking class with our guide and chef, Marcello, who was outstanding from start to finish. Marcello did an incredible job bringing the market to life, explaining the local ingredients, traditions, and flavours of Palermo. The cooking class was just as impressive, as we prepared everything from scratch, including making our own pasta for pasta alla Norma. We also made delicious arancini and cannoli, learning the techniques and stories behind each dish along the way. The experience was fun, informative, and a wonderful way to connect with Sicilian culture through food. Marcello’s knowledge, passion, and personality made the day truly special. Highly recommended — a fantastic experience and well worth the money!

Very fun and well organized activity. The pasta came out really well thanks to our very experienced, kind, and professional chefs. Only problem was the 100 degree weather. Would not recommend this activity on a day as hot as this cause the room was not well cooled. Everyone spent the entire experience cooking. Despite this, it still was a 5 star experience and hopefully they can upgrade the cooling system soon.
