Our group of four thoroughly enjoyed our private tour of the coastline, launching from Vieste. We had a slight glitch on exactly where to meet, but apart from that, the tour itself was excellent. Our skipper, Rocco, was a joy and very entertaining. He was expert in maneuvering us in and out of the many sea caves, providing us with background on each. His love of the sea is evident. And his warmth is infectious. We were amazed at the extensive itinerary and the amount of shoreline he covered. As he put it, it's all about the journey. On the plus side, the boat was modestly sized which allowed us to go where other boats could not. However, the fast journey back to port got a bit choppy. But it was well worth it for the amount of territory we were able to cover. We would definitely recommend this tour from this provider, and it's fantastic value for the money.

I guess it really depends on the guide. In my case, it was quite disorganised and disappointing. I just asked for a Bari Vecchia tour and places for leather & souvenir shopping. Ilya knew the way quite well, but he walked so fast and his strides were so long that it was difficult to keep up with him. And he didn’t wait for me to catch up until I called him out on it. Then at the sites, he hardly gave any info aside from what the site was. Inside the castle, he just literally read the descriptions to me & called that ‘guiding.’ And because he didn’t plan well, by the time we were supposed to do the leather shopping, the shops were already closed. But I did manage to buy a book, but he was quite rude about it. I was browsing the titles when he said, “Don’t be picky. Just buy something.” Towards the end, I just wanted to go home & get rid of him, but I had initially promised to have dinner with him. Good thing all the places were fully booked. I didn’t eat dinner yesterday at all
