Amazing journey through Verona with an amazing guide! My 18 year old loved him as much as we did. Best thing to do in Verona. The risini sp? was the favorite and I could eat them every morning. But Marcelo said they were easy to make! HA! So not true for this girl from just perusing the recipe. I did order the rice though. So I will try. Anyway I think Verona would have been a bust without this tour. Also met a lot of nice people from different walks of life. Loved the dad and son duo from Chicago. Oh and the wine sommelier was a beautiful soul. Thank you for this incredible experience at an incredible price. We really loved every bit. Well almost! Neighhhh! lol

Absolut empfehlenswert! Die dreistündige Food- und Weintour mit Anna war eines der Highlights unseres Aufenthalts in Verona. Die Tour führte uns bewusst abseits der üblichen Touristenpfade und gab uns einen authentischen Einblick in die Stadt, ihre Geschichte und ihre kulinarischen Traditionen. Anna ist eine äußerst sympathische und kompetente Gastgeberin. Sie spricht hervorragendes Englisch – nicht zuletzt, weil sie teilweise in den USA aufgewachsen ist. Im Laufe der Tour besuchten wir sechs verschiedene Lokale, darunter eine Vinothek und eine ausgezeichnete Gelateria. Jede Station war sorgfältig ausgewählt, die Spezialitäten waren hervorragend und die Weine typisch für die Region. Dabei vermittelte Anna auf unterhaltsame und humorvolle Weise viele interessante Informationen über Verona, seine Kultur und die lokalen Produkte. Wer Verona nicht nur sehen, sondern auch schmecken und verstehen möchte, sollte diese Tour unbedingt buchen. Sie ist informativ, genussvoll und authentisch.

Our tour was absolutely fantastic, and I would highly recommend it! We sampled everything from coffee and traditional pastries to meatballs, risotto, wine, and gelato, every single bite was fabulous. Our guide, Alessandro, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and pleasant. She shared wonderful local insights and tips that truly enhanced our experience. This tour is the perfect way to get a feel for Verona, learn some of its history, and enjoy amazing local food and wine. Don't hesitate to book!

Definitely not an enjoyable walking food & wine tour! We were running late from the start (the guide arrived late) and then we had to ‘race’ through the streets to get to places on time, being reminded constantly that we were late and had to hurry. However, our guide still found time to stop and explain historical sites etc. Given it was a food & wine tour there was very little information regarding the food or the food from the region by our guide. The wine information was better & at the wine shop the host provided the information. Our guide also tended to focus on a couple of people in the group in particular rather than the whole group at times. Having done amazing food & wine tours of Italy in the past this one was disappointing. Our guide focused on the history/historical sites rather than the food & wine. We (& many others) had already paid for & done these type of tours hence it was a repetition and not what we believed would be provided. Disappointing!

We walked through the city with Anna. She is a really nice and also funny person, we liked it really much to walk with her.The tour was so excited because you taste so many things you will never order if you dont knew this. We got really much information about the city, the people and the food they prefer in Verona. Also we taste the Wine who is typically for Verona. The price is absolutely ok for this tour. Thanks to Anna for this really great tour in Verona. Would book this tour every time again.

Jlena was lovely. We all enjoyed the tour. It didn’t feel like a guided tour of the city sights/history. Which is ok but we had slightly higher expectations of the food/venues to be honest. Breakfast was a small pastry and coffee from a tourist restaurant opposite the arena. Then 2 breaded meatballs (think croquetas) in a small, modern place which didn’t really have any charm or heritage. Followed by Risotto Al Amorone at a nice local trattoria (next to our apartment). Interesting to try but not a dish any of us would order again. No offer of bread/wine with this. Just water. And then a walk to try 2 glasses of wine (Valpolicella and Amarone) with some salami and cheese at a charming local wine shop. The wine expert was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Finished with some nice gelato nearby. My recommendation is to book wine tasting directly at the excellent wine merchants. Try the local pasticcerias and cafes, lunch at an Osteria with wine and do a city tour separately for your money.
