Ab Sorrento: Geführte Tour zu Pompeji und Vesuv mit Mittagessen

When getting the bus in the morning, a sign or numbered signs in the parking lot so people know where to stand and queue. It was a bit confusing Our guide on the bus was lovely, very helpful and felt day would run right with her in charge. Out tour guide was great, a little bit hard to understand but had fantastic knowledge and was great navigating us through the crowds. The restaurant where we had our pizza was lovely and the pizza was delicious. Mount Vesuvius is spectacular, but we did find it a tougher climb than expected. Finally our bus driver was great, very nice man and one hell of a driver navigating his way round the roads and crazy traffic!

Fantastic trip from start to finish. Nico was brilliant, very welcoming, friendly and gave us a great amount of history of Pompeii and Vesuvius. The bus journey was nice and comfortable with air conditioning. Our guide in Pompeii was very good. We did feel a bit rushed but in her defence she only has two hours to complete the tour so she has to make sure we keep moving. The pizza stop was great. The pizza is huge and very tasty! We also got a drink. The walk up the volcano is quite steep but easy terrain. The views from the top are exceptional!

This was an amazing experience. The small coach was comfortable and air conditioned and the tour rep was a lovely woman, very helpful and knowledgeable. Pompei was amazing and Antonio the guide was excellent. He was really brought the experience to life and we learned so much. Vesuvius was equally amazing, quite hard work if you want to make it to the top.

The bus was over an hour late to pick us up, but somehow managed to drop us off at the end of the day only 10 minutes late! Vesuvius was brilliant but we didn’t get any information about Vesuvius from the ‘tour guide’ he seemed lazy as he didn’t do anything all day. He was friendly though. Lunch was ok, simple. But the biggest let down was Pompeii. The guide kept faffing with the mic and we couldn’t hear much, she tried to carry about 100 things she didn’t need and kept dropping things on the floor. Pompeii felt very rushed, we were rushed through the museum, houses, streets. We didn’t get the chance to appreciate anything. I’m very disappointed with the Pompeii side of this trip. I’d say to anyone who wants to see Pompeii go do it yourself as the guide didn’t add anything to this trip. Overall a very expensive trip that isn’t worth the money at all, we were left disappointed at the end

An overall fantastic day out with great guides - recommend booking! Our guide, Chiara, was lovely and the bus driver made the trip on narrow roads feel safe. Although a very busy day, it was well paced with time for rest breaks. The archaeological tour of Pompeii was led by Antonio and he was fantastic and so knowledgable. As the stop in Pompeii is only 2 hours, you don’t get to see much of the site but all the significant highlights are covered (it would take a full day or two to complete so it’s fully understandable). The walk to Mount Vesuvius crater was very steep but so worth the walk. There was no guide for this walk so we were able to take it at our own pace. Thank you for a fantastic day! Grazie mille!

It was excellent and I can't fault a thing. I would have liked to have a bit longer for the walk at Vesuvious. However Giada, our Pompei guide was outstanding! Our tour was @8.30 on 17Sep and we were picked up from Vico train station and our beautiful tour guide (unfortunately I can't remember her name - blonde lovely and efficient young woman) and our driver who were a delight. Overall 12 out of 10 for all of them. They made our tour really smooth and enjoyable. Memorable trip and 200% worth it.

A fantastic trip with an excellent driver ( which is very reassuring around these bendy roads!) with a lovely guide named Ciara. Be prepared for some hefty physical demands as walking up to the summit of Vesuvius is no easy task and this is followed by a 2 hour guided tour of Pompeii which is also demanding especially in the heat we had! The Pompeii guide was excellent and gave us an amazing insight into what life was like before AD79 in Pompeii when the volcano erupted. Great value for money and a trip well worth the effort and one we will never forget.

We did Pompeii in the morning, we were able to miss most of the crowds. There is no cover in Pompeii which makes it difficult in the heat, but our guide was conscious of that and took us around at a nice pace and allowed us to stop regularly to get drinks. Our tour guide around Pompeii was excellent and added humour to the tour. Lovely pizzas for lunch. We walked up Mount Vesuvius in the early afternoon, I was concerned because of the heat however there was a lovely breeze up the mountain which made it more enjoyable. Completing both visits early was beneficial as when we were leaving both locations there were considerably more people around.
