Merci encore

Recently my wife & I booked an Olive Oil tasting and tour. Our host was Emma, she was fantastic. She had a wealth of knowledge, was passionate and gave us a rich history in the land, family business and knowledge about how oil and there other products are produced. The olive oil tasting was fantastic. We tried over 30 types of oils, had great explanations of how they can be paired and used to. Afterwards we had lunch at the restaurant. This is a must do. The view from the top floor is amazing, and the food is incredible. All food was produced from what they grow or their live stock. Giuesppe / Giovanni was our host and he was great. Meatballs, Antipasto cheese and meat board, eggplant dish and desert chocolate and vanilla cakes are must try. This experience warms the heart and is a must do. You are treated like family, you are appreciated and your presence is made to feel welcome. A big thank you to our driver Franco too, he was passionate about the business too and took us to

My family and I had a great time! We were picked up from the hotel, made it so easy, and got a tour of around the property. We learned about the family businesses history, the process of making olive oil, as well as other local Sorrento products such as limoncello. The olive oil and wine and liquor tasting was delicious and we bought many products to ship home!

We visited the olive oil mill on Tuesday and was so impressed with the whole tour. We were picked up ahead of the pick up time. Our guide Giuseppe was very knowledgeable and explained the history of the mill, the family, the process for producing the olive oil, all in great detail. We were then taken to the showroom to sample various flavoured olive oils. So many lovely flavours to choose from. We chose to have a selection shipped home due to luggage restrictions, looking forward to receiving them in around 2 weeks time. We then went upstairs to the terrace where the view is absolutely stunning. We were taken care of by Giovanni who is professional, charming and attentive. We were dropped back at our apartment when we were ready to leave. A fantastic afternoon and would not hesitate to recommend. 11/10 experience.

The tour was amazing! We got to learn the history of Frantoio Gargiulo, a fourth generation olive mill. We toured part of the grove where a mixture of olive, orange, and lemon trees grow and see the original farmhouse from the 1800s. After the tour, we tasted dozens of olive oil and balsamic. Don’t come full right after lunch because you’ll want to try everything, but the bread you use to dip fills you up fast. Any product you put can be shipped for a reasonable fee.

Emma was energetic and engaged and was warm and friendly. The walk through the groves and the original home of the family was very interesting. The process of making the oil was clear and interesting. The olive oils, balsamic vinegars, marmalade and liquors were incredibly generous and a wide range of flavors. Very high quality. We loved many varieties and were able to purchase them. Overall very tasty and interesting. A must do when in Sorrento.

We loved the tour. It was a good mix of a walk into the hillside orchard where we saw different trees growing including lemons & oranges growing on the same tree (a first for me), then a tour of the olive pressing process, and the finale which was a tasting of so many different olive oils; plain ones and flavoured ones and they were all delicious! I am now a big fan of olive oil…the big buckets of bread helped us along. It was a great trip out and the lift from Sorrento was in a spotless & comfortable mini van. Everything was excellent!
