Pompeji & Herculaneum Kleingruppen-Ausflug ab Sorrent mit Archäologe

The tour was promised with an expert archaeologist guide -when asked about this Mario, our guide, explained he was not an archaeologist but had studied Pompeii & Herculaneum at degree level. He was knowledgeable but not very engaging. He missed throughout that the group wished to take photographs often walking off, out of headset reach, with tour members trying to catch up. We started the tour opposite to advertised at Herculaneum. An overview map at the start of this tour would have greatly enhanced understanding of the layout of the site. On other tours guides have had visuals/maps to explain site layouts. Lunch stop was a large shopping mall - crowded, commercialised & not a break where you can relax between archaeological wonders as advertised!! Misleading! There was a long delay travelling home (not the fault of the bus/tour guide) but journey took 3 1/2 hours instead of 1. Any Info/updates were not forthcoming we had to consult google maps. Overall - very disappointing

Die angekündigte Kleingruppe bis max. 20 Personen bestand aus 24 Personen und entsprechend unübersichtlich war dann auch die Veranstaltung. Wer extra mehr zahlt, um in einer Kleingruppe zu reisen, wird so betrogen. Der Guide war gut und sehr kenntnisreich, aber eben auch kein Archäologe. Wäre die Ausschreibung wahrheitsgemäß und damit billiger gewesen, wäre es ein rundherum gelungener Ausflug gewesen.

I was disappointed with our trip to Pompeii and Herculaneum as I felt it was rushed and that we missed out on so many things, admittedly it was hot but then that was to be expected, we felt that the guides enthusiasm for the recently uncovered new findings overrode the usual sights that we were expecting to see and that we spent far too long on that area. We then moved onto a shopping centre for lunch , we should have been given shopping vouchers but these were not offered, this was an entire waste of time & did not fit with the ambience of the day, then we moved onto Herculaneum where we were taken up and down just the one street then into a small museum where the aircon wasn't working. This is not a cheap trip, it was chosen for the size of the group and the knowledge of the guide and the expectation of seeing the highlights of both Pompeii and Herculaneum which were not met. Would not recommend

Les explications en anglais seulement laissaient à désirer. Du à la chaleur excessive vous auriez pu prévoir des points de halte ou de rafraîchissement. L'audio phone : Il pourrait être comme ceux que le site utilise en plusieurs langues. Lorsque les personnes qui peinaient à arriver, n'avaient pas le temps de se reposer que la guide partait immédiatement. Je sais qu'il y a un horaire à respecter. mais du à la chaleur, cela aurait du etre pris en compte. En fait non je ne crois pas que j'utiliserai vos services dans les prochains voyages.

Mario je bio odličan, toliko informacija je dao , sproveo nas je da vidimo ono što je najvažnije i pojasnio zašto.Za njega sve pohvale, vozač je bio tačan i vozili smo se udobno..Za mene je Herkulaneum.bio otkrovenje ..to prepitanje Grka i Rimnjana,je fascinirao, skupljanje vode, Pompeja mi je poznatija a Mario je dočarao to vreme Ja bih poradila na restauraciji

Our group was very big. Over 20 people with 1 guide. Guide was friendly & spoke well but Pompeii was very rushed. She gave her umbrella to one of the kids on the tour and it made her hard to spot or follow. Herculean was amazing. Much more exhibits and better preserved. Unfortunately we spent a long time waiting for the train group to join us. May as well have done an audio tour for half the price.

Alfredo was a supremely excellent tour guide. It’s obvious he is very knowledgeable and passionate about the sites and the history. He was also very personable and answered specific questions with great interest. I appreciate having such an experienced archaeologist and educator as a tour guide. Excellent English skills! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ thank you Alfredo and our driver Sangelo, who was friendly and nice the entire ride, keeping us safe and driving smoothly.
