Ab Sorrento: Weingut-Tour mit Verkostung und Mittagessen

The winery experience itself was very nice. You have your wine tasting and a meal in a beautiful outdoor setting. The gentleman that drove us around the winery was nice. Keep in mind you are there to purchase wine. My complaint was poor organization with this. A lot of moving parts. We arrived at train station an hour early. Waited for a sign or someone to see us. Not told to go inside a building then to find out they scheduled us to the wrong train time. Had to wait another hour. Confusing once you got off the train again. Was told someone would be waiting for us. Not the case. Then to have them not know who we were and more confusion of what tour we were for. Screenshot your tickets in case of no service. Once we were done with the tasting we had to find our way out. Nobody to take us back. Finally a young boy from U.S. was able to get us a taxi . It was as if we were forgotten. Then a long ride back to Sorrento on a packed train. The tour took all day !

having to catch a train from Sorrento, time miscommunication. the transfer driver not there nor anyone with any idea of tour. waiting now for transfer driver back to Pompeii station to take us to Sorrento. Meal was not four course unless you count 2 small pieces of stale bread in bitter olive oil a first course. food ok, felt rushed. still waiting for transfer back to station. traveling with 81 year old. absolutely not ideal

The wine tour? Lasted 10 minutes max. The food? Plain, bad, like a school dinner. The bruschetta was literally a slice of bread with old tomatoes, the pasta was spaghetti and tomato sauce and the dessert was a slice of dry cake with apricot jam. The view was lovely, as was the wine, but don’t expect to get merry - you’re barely given more than a fingers worth in the glass. They could have made this so amazing just by tweaking the food alone.
