Geführter Tagesausflug von Malta zum Ätna und nach Catania per Katamaran

This trip is not to be missed! The ferry is also a special experience. Everything is on board:) It was plenty of time to arrive at 6:30 in the morning.Our tour guide was waiting in Sicily, who did a great job!He added interesting facts to the trip.Catania was very beautiful despite the terrible heat.Etna is an indescribable, eternal experience. It started to rain when we got off the bus, but it stopped as soon as it came. Like everything, the cable car is expensive, but if you can, you shouldn't miss it, because what awaits you at the top is worth it. You have to go back again, there's not enough time for this beauty.Our tour guide Lori will literally take care of everything, help you with anything you ask her for 🥰 whether it's finding a phone left on the Etna cable car or getting it from Sicily to Malta, all in exchange for a smile 🥰 Lori/Loredana is the best tour guide! Perfectly organised from start to finish. The catamaran was comfortable and spacious. The coach was easy to find when we arrived and this was also comfortable, we are both 6 foot tall and there was plenty of leg room. Our guide was welcoming, accommodating and provided just the right amount of information and guidance. We enjoyed the stop in Catania and there was enough time for us to explore, eat and visit a cathedral. Etna was the highlight and we took the optional cable car trip. The journey back to the port was peaceful and included a toilet stop. We would definitely recommend this tour

I would highly recommend to anyone visiting. I think the guide said it was up to 43 degrees Celsius in Catania so the 2.5 hours there was just enough to have a walk round, get some gelato, have lunch and a drink and a wander around the Duomo and get the bus to Etna. the tour guide was very informative of both the history of Catania but also other areas that we past on the bus such as Syracuse. the driver was excellent too and the trip was very smooth. the views of Etna were unmatched, a true 'bucket list' moment and we were lucky to take the cable car up, windy at the top of course but spectacular views across. it is a long day with 19 hours door to door but very memorable and a great balance of a day trip. even my 3 year old said that she had fun. thank you very much indeed! I will be recommending the trip to everyone

Overall the trip was great. If you Travel from Malta to Sicily you go to the boat terminal and you meet the guide once you arrive in Italy. We got to the port at 5.30am after reading conflicting posts but you can arrive by 6.30 s the boat leaves at 7.30am. Once we got to Catania we had 3 hours to have a look around. Our guide mentioned there was a train that takes you around for 5euros. My advice would be to miss that out, it cost 10 euros each, we had to sit inside until they filled it up, then when we drove around the town, we didn’t know what we were seeing as the audio does not work. You go down many roads with cars trying to take over the train which was very unsafe and it ate most of our time up. Go straight to the food markets, this was cool. Mount Etna was amazing. You can go on the cable car for 54 euros each or you pay 5 euros to climb the craters, this was amazing.A very long day but worth it.

Wir hatten einen tollen Ausflug von Malta nach Sizilien. Die Fähre legt in Malta um 7:30 Uhr ab und gegen 9:30 Uhr erreicht man Sizilien. Dort warteten bereits der Busfahrer und unsere Reiseleiterin Loredana, die uns auf dem Weg zum ersten Stop in Catania mit vielen Informationen über die Insel versorgte. In Catania angekommen hat man 2 Möglichkeiten: entweder begleitet einen die Reiseleiterin durch die Stadt oder man hat die 3h zur freien Verfügung. Wir entschieden uns für den Besuch des römischen Theaters, des Fischmarkts, haben dabei sehr leckeren Oktopus beim Polp Corner gegessen, sind dann ein wenig durch die Stadt und haben in einer sehr guten Bäckerei landestypische Nascheieren mitgenommen. Danach ging es weiter auf eine ca 1:15h Fahrt zum Ätna. Der Bus hält auf einer Höhe von 1900m und man hat von dort verschiedene Optionen während des 2,5h Aufenthalte: man besichtigt die beiden kleineren Krater Silvestre und 2100 oder man bucht ein Ticket für die Seilbahn (zuzüglich 54€ pro)

I really enjoyed this trip, it was well organised and communication was excellent. Our guide was brilliant, friendly, informative and relaxed. It is a long day but worth it. I really enjoyed the time in Catania. unfortunately the weather meant that the cable cars weren’t running when we got to Mount Etna but it didn’t spoil the time there as there were other things to do. Transport was good too.

It was a truly brilliant day with lots of interesting information and chances to explore. I enjoyed every minute and our tour guide was so lovely However, there should be a heads up over the weather at Mount Etna as a lot of people were not dressed appropriately for the conditions as it was covered in snow and freezing cold with lots of strong wind
