Archäologisches Nationalmuseum Neapel: Private Führung mit Archäologe

Just WOW. Came here after doing Pompeii and this really tied everything together for me. The mosaics are literally breathtaking up close. Bring comfy shoes – my feet were DONE by the end. Also, you can’t take pics in some sections (the erotic art), so heads up. Staff was super friendly and patient even though my Italian is non-existent.

Big museum! Needed more time than we thought (2 hours isn’t enough). Some crowds but not toooo bad. Audio guide was a little glitchy at first but worked after restarting. Loved the gladiator helmets, so coool.

I’m a history nerd so this place is basically heaven. The Pompeii room is my fave – the details on those wall paintings are unreal. Didn’t love the lighting in some galleries, kinda hard to see the smaller stuff. Still, 10/10 visit.

Good museum but felt a bit rushed because a school group arrived halfway through and made it noisy. Would recommend going later in the day if you want peace. The artifacts themselves are amazing tho, esp the jewelry.

Didn’t expect to enjoy it this much tbh. The marble statues are HUGE and the rooms are echoey (don’t drop your phone, lol). Some signage only in Italian so had to guess what things were, but that’s part of the fun I guess.

Took my parents (both in their 70s) and they LOVED it. Elevators were handy, and staff helped us find benches when mom got tired. The garden view from the upper floor is super nice. Highly recommend for families.

Solid museum. Came here for the Pompeii stuff but ended up loving the Egyptian section too. It gets crowded after lunch so try to arrive early. Gift shop is a bit overpriced but has cute magnets.

Absolutely loved our visit. Our guide, Marco, was passionate and answered all my random questions about Roman food. Got to see some EPIC mosaics and even some ancient graffiti (who knew Romans had memes?)

Museum is cool but some rooms were closed for renovation, which kinda sucked. Not the best experience for younger kids, mine got bored fast. Still, the big statues are impressive in person.

Best museum I’ve been to in Italy, hands down. The artifacts from Herculaneum are wild. Could spend all day here (and maybe bring snacks – the café line was sooo long).

Good vibes, lots to see. The sword collection is insane. Only thing – it’s a bit dark in some corners, made it hard to read the info. Friendly staff tho, and the bathrooms were actually clean!

I dragged my friends here and they ended up loving it more than me. We geeked out over the ancient coins and weird medical tools. Security is a bit strict about bags, so travel light.

Went with my bf, we both enjoyed it. The Pompeii frescoes are so colorful. Can get crowded but we found some quieter rooms upstairs. Didn’t try the café, kinda pricey.

Had a fantastic time with our guide, Lucia. She knew all the cool stories behind the artifacts and even showed us some hidden corners. The erotic art room was...eye-opening. Would def recommend a tour if you want the extra details.

Museum is pretty big, almost too big if you’re not super into history. I liked the jewelry and the little figurines, but wish there were more interactive displays. Still learned some neat stuff.

Honestly one of the best collections I’ve seen anywhere. The details on the mosaics are just EPIC. Bring water, it gets stuffy in some parts. Staff was chill and pointed out their own favorite piece to us.

Went with friends. The building itself is beautiful and HUGE (got lost a few times lol). Some signs could be better but the art is worth it. Would visit again for sure.

Guided tour with Giovanna was sooo worth it. She made the history come alive. Got to ask a ton of questions and she was patient and funny. The statues are MASSIVE. Don’t miss the busts near the entrance!

Took my grandma and she was in awe! Staff helped us with elevators and were super sweet. The Pompeii artifacts are the highlight. Only issue: the map was confusing, so we missed a whole section by accident.
