The boat tour was absolutely beautiful and worth it! It was also very convenient, you walk to the port in Napoli and your tickets at the stand. It includes your departure from Napoli, boat ride, and departure from Capri. Keep in mind that you do not go in the water, if you would like to do then I would suggest getting the boat tour that includes being able to swim! And it’s self guided so you have 5 hours to yourself, you can build your itinerary! Please also keep in mind that it will be very busy… VERY busy. Even though September back not be tourist places from some other place. Mid September in Napoli and Capri was packed with people!

I would recommend this if you don’t want to pay loads to join a group and would rather explore on your own. Easy ticket pickup at Napoli port and it was clear where to get the outward ferry and boat tour. However, for the return ferry from Capri there was no clear signage anywhere as to which pier we needed which led to some last minute rushing! The boat tour was great. Fab views of the island and the captain was very informative and funny. We then had the rest of the day to explore ourselves, just enough time for lunch and a wander to the Augustus Gardens and stroll through Capri streets. Even though it was the end of September it was still very busy in Capri. You need to allow plenty of time to get the Funicular back down to catch your return ferry as you will have to wait a while. If I were to go again I probably wouldn’t book this just so I can get an earlier and later return ferry to see more of the island, but for a quick first visit I think it’s worth it.
