Cefalù: Authentische Speisen- & Weinprobe mit Omas Mittagessen

We loved this tour! Alessandra was a wonderful guide. She shared many historical facts as well as legends and stories about Cefalu. It’s a great walking tour around the village, hitting many key spots for great photos. The food & wine were incredible! Every dish was delicious and we had so much food. I really loved the meatballs, cheeses and pasta dishes. Plus the pumpkin dish was amazing. So many wonderful flavors and it was a great experience to try authentic Sicilian dishes. Would highly recommend this lovely tour!

My tour was fabulous! The apertivo was delicious with a light wine and local Sicilian appetizers like artichoke crostini and grilled asparagus! The walking was just enough to hit the most important cultural spots of old town including the medieval laundry, the Duomo, and the ancient seaside wharf and to learn about their significance from a true local who loves her job and her home. The luncheon was also a splendid experience with more local cuisine in a fabled ristorante with both red and white wine sampling, caponata, pasta and a special dessert that captured the lightness and crystalline flavors of Italian fruited ricotta cream! Valeria was informative and helpful and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely! They easily accommodated my vegetarianism and it was a lovely way to spend a morning in Cefalu!

We did this tour today with the owner, Valeri, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our time in Cefalù. We actually booked it last minute while on the train from Palermo to Cefalù, and she was incredibly accommodating and made everything happen on short notice. It ended up being a private tour for the three of us—me, my daughter Marlene, and my Aunt Patty—which made it even more special. Valeri was wonderful: warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Cefalù. We tried foods we never would have thought to order on our own and learned so much about the town’s history, culture, and local traditions along the way. It felt authentic, personal, and relaxed—exactly the kind of experience you hope for when traveling. Highly recommend if you want to experience Cefalù beyond the typical tourist spots!
