Geführte Tour: Vatikanische Museen, Sixtinische Kapelle & Petersdom-Kuppel

Scam. The issue isn't that I couldn't find my guide, but that the guide never showed up. I was right at the meeting point 20 minutes early and waited 30 minutes past the scheduled time. No one ever showed up. Bottom line: 135 euros down the drain, nearly an hour wasted, and above all, unable to visit St. Peter's Basilica. Reading the reviews (the real ones), it seems I'm not the only one who has had problems. I want a refund for the service I never received (though not holding out much hope if you're scammers).

Ana ! She has a great personality for being a tour guide as she is both very knowledgeable on the subject but also her delivery is excellent. She knew how to keep the group engaged whilst waiting in the long queue which is not easy too. She also asked us questions and showed some of the quirky parts in an interesting way. For example asking us to all guess certain heights or whether the Coliseum would fit into St Peter's Square.

It started out promising, but ultimately we were left thoroughly disappointed. We bought tickets for a guided tour of St. Peter's Basilica + dome elevator climb. The guide seemed lost right from the start. We did not feel taken care of at all. If you expect a guided tour to get you in faster and bypass the line, you will be disappointed. You wait in the exact same queue. The tour of the basilica was completely chaotic. The elevator ride to the dome never happened—we were ripped off. From the moment we joined the line for the elevator, the guide did nothing except try to talk people into giving up waiting, and most people did. We waited until the end, which clearly frustrated him. He did not stay with us until the end. Ultimately, we could not take the elevator and had to walk up on foot. I do not recommend this. P.S. When leaving a rating other than 5, you have to select the reasons for your dissatisfaction from a list, but they are invisible, so everything ends up looking completely negative.

We had a fantastic experience touring the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel with Amadeo. He was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and passionate about art, history, and the Vatican’s rich cultural heritage. His explanations were engaging and insightful, helping us appreciate the meaning and beauty behind the masterpieces we saw. Amadeo made the entire tour both educational and memorable. We highly recommend him to anyone visiting the Vatican!

Our tour guide Kelly was exceptionally knowledgeable, and polite while maintaining a presence over the group with cheerful grace and charm. Out of the 18 days that we toured through 15 different cities and towns of Italy with tours taken in each location, Kelly was the number one of all the tour guides we had the pleasure of meeting.
