Von Rom: Pompeji oder Herculaneum & Vesuv mit dem Hochgeschwindigkeitszug

No organisation, the man at the meeting point walked off without us and we only found that out after trying to contact the company and one of them let slip that he’d walked down with the group to the main meeting point. We were not even told what station to get off at Pompeii, we had to ask. No communication and I doubt any of the staff even knew what was going on. I am genuinely concerned we will get left on Vesuvius before the day is over. Avoid like the plague!!!

Whilst the activities were good and as advertised, the travel was not, it was stressful and chaotic. We arrived by train and expected a bus transport to Pompeii, however we were met and given another regional train ticket and escorted to the platform. The train was heaving and no seats or air conditioning were available for a fairly lengthy journey. The activities were as expected, however we were initially booked on a return train to Rome that was impossible to get, as the regional train was not scheduled to arrive in enough time to get you to the other train station. Sara was very helpful and changed our tickets to a later train. However we were given a train 2 hours later, instead of the next train an hour later (I suspect it was higher in cost). This meant we had a 1 hour 50 mins wait in Naples train station- not great as we arrived back much later than we expected.
