Tour della Basilica di San Pietro, Grotte Vaticane e Cupola

I booked this tour expecting a cultural, historical and artistic experience. Unfortunately the audio guide focused almost entirely on religious and theological commentary, with very little information about the architecture, art, history or cultural significance of the places we visited. As someone who is not Catholic, I found it disappointing because the tour description doesn't make it clear that the experience is primarily faith-oriented rather than educational in a broader cultural sense. I have no issue with religious tours, but I believe this should be clearly stated so visitors know what they are booking. Even my friend, who joined the tour with me, felt that the explanations lacked historical and artistic depth. If you're looking for a pilgrimage or a faith-focused visit, this may be suitable. However, if you're interested in history, architecture, archaeology or art, I would recommend choosing a different tour or bringing your own materials to better appreciate the site.
