Tour in Barca Privato: Positano e Costiera Amalfitana da Sorrento

Superb day despite a delayed start due to poor weather. Seas still a little choppy when we left. Driver Silvestro and guide Giuseppe were excellent. This trip is more about the sea journey and the views than the locations both of which are winding narrow streets absolutely packed with tourists and shops selling the same thing everywhere. Positano has lots of steps. Amalfi cathedral is worth a visit. Fruit, Prosecco (tiny) and swim stop are all on the return leg. Beer, water and Coke offered throughout.

The other passengers where nice. Skipper was proficient. The weather was rouge with big wawes which made The tour very bumpy. Borderline case that the crew should have cancelled the tour. The guide Franceska was the worst thing with this trip, rude and condescending. Argued and talked back at us. Didn't have any understanding or responsibility/safety for her passengers who pay her salary. We really recommend everyone to choose another organizer as long as this guide works for them.

Good experience, but the tour guide needs to improve his customer service The scenery and tour were enjoyable, but the guide was not welcoming or attentive, especially toward older passengers who needed help boarding and leaving the boat. I also felt uncomfortable when I said I was from the United States and he replied, “No, you’re not from the US.” Whether intended as a joke or not, the comment felt dismissive and humiliating. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and provides customer-service and cultural-sensitivity training.

The boat tour itself was great. The captain was excellent, the boat was very nice, and the itinerary was beautiful. Unfortunately, one of the staff members was extremely stressed, rude and unnecessarily abrupt, which made the experience uncomfortable. They should definitely review their staff training and customer service. Also, limiting the water available on board despite the very hot weather was disappointing. Overall, a great tour that could be much better with more courteous and attentive staff.
