Museo del Duomo, Battistero e Campanile: Tour Guidato e Cripta

Our tour guide cancelled on us, and so we were rebooked with another tour company for a different tour at a different time. Ultimately the Company did take care of rebooking us, and we were able to make the new time and thoroughly enjoyed the tour guide we had with My Green Tour of the cathedral, but it was still not what we initially signed up for and did ruin a couple of other plans we had for the day. I suggest this tour company have a few backup guides for instances like this as it caused a bit of a hassle and messed with our schedule. Poor ratings due to that.

The tour portion was interesting but rather rushed. The museum is a 1-time entry, so you can't re-enter, and we didn't get to see everything because the guide was rushing through it all. The cathedral had a bit of a wait in line to get in, but we did end up going into the crypt instead of seeing the Baptistry, which we can go into later on our own. In any case, this was 1.5 hour tour, with the other 30 min allocated for the dome climb. The rush was likely because we had a window in which we could enter the dome climb. The tour portion needs to be extended by at least 30 minutes so you can see everything, otherwise you'll just be rushed through it all.

Our guide was great. You will get a tour through the baptistery and the museum as well as the dome with the krypt. You will climb the dome on your own, please note that the tour ist about 2 hours and the dome climbing is in addition to it timely, so do not book something directly after. Also no backpacks allowed (there is a free „locker“ next to the museum our tour guide didn’t manage to tell us, use it!). Otherwise no problems, no waiting, great tour

Aliás esse lance de trocar o voucher é bem desagradável. Poderia enviar direto por e-mail pq ficamos muito tempo procurando o ponto de encontro. Sugiro que cheguem bem cedo se fazem questão de guia.

Our guide did a very nice job of explaining the history and function of the Baptistry. We then moved to a discussion of the exterior of the Cathedral before entering to begin the climb. The climb was not as difficult as some described. The views of Florence were expansive. Highly recommend this tour and suggest a celebratory spritz at Cafe Duomo.

Objectively the funniest tour I've been on for all the wrong reasons. Like a middle schooler who forgot they had a presentation and did zero preparation. Certainly a tour I will not soon forget because of how difficult it was to stop myself from laughing - and I still can't contain it days later just thinking about it. Every person on the tour used the term 'chaotic'. But I won't hold it against the guide specifically who was probably a last minute replacement. Ultimately I bought this as a last minute entrance ticket, which came at a scalper's premium, so I'll just pretend the comedy routine was free - better than most television comedies anyway. But there is no way the company can justify a 150% ticket price markup for this experience.
