Da Roma: Gita di un Giorno a Pompei con Biglietti e Tour Guidato

It has been an outstanding day! Pompeii has been on my bucket list forever and it didn’t disappoint. I loved that we got to wander around Sorrento before we got to Pompeii, too and I loved that it wasn’t raining! Juliana was our guide at Pompeii and she was amazing! So knowledgeable, told us lots of great stories, pointed out small details that we wouldn’t have noticed otherwise and she had a lovely sense of humor. It is a long bus ride but totally comfortable and totally worth the trip. The only negative for me was trying to find the meeting place in the morning-their office is upstairs from MacDonald’s. And, I have to give them a shout out for their communication-when I called them, an employee came down the street to find me! Can’t ask for more than that! I would recommend this trip to anyone and everyone who can walk without issues!

The tour guide was nice person, however the tour was poorly coordinated by the company in timing and this significantly impacted the trip. We were left on the bus several times and waited on other people to join the tour at our stops which shortened our time at the two destinations. We were involved in a bus accident in the streets of Sorrento (which did not injure anyone) which delayed our arrival and free time in Sorrento. This accident also reaffirmed our feeling that the driver was erratically driving through narrow streets with cliff faces below which felt dangerous. At Pompeii the guide did not take us to one of the most major sites of the area, being the gladiator stadium and we had no spare time there to explore the site - this was super disappointing. Overall, dangerous transport, poorly organised, not enough time at the venue and a disappointment of a tour.

Actual Pompeii guide was great but no free time as promised which was disappointing. Could cut the trip by 2-hours if the lunch wasn’t stretched out & the side trip to the broach shop/museum that was a poorly concealed sales attempt wasn’t included. Was a waste of time. Tour guide on the bus was knowledgeable & kept us entertained on the journey with local history. A long trip for such a short time spent walking Pompeii
