Aside from the chaos with GYG giving us two pickup locations and almost making us miss our trip because of it, the tour experience was truly wonderful. Matteo was an fantastic guide. We all left the tour feeling more knowledgeable about wine and olive oil than any previous classes I’ve taken by a sommelier. Our hosts for the truffle hunt were incredibly warm and welcoming. The food and wine they provided for lunch exceeded my expectations and added to the delightful experience. Truffle hunting was definitely the highlight of our trip. The dog and his handler did an excellent job keeping us engaged with quick truffle finds, while Matteo explained the process with expertise.
