Roma: Tour Guidato delle Catacombe e della Cripta dei Cappuccini con Transfer

We had fun, I will start with that. Our guide was positive and nice. The actual catacombs and crypt was great. I wouldnt book this again though. Our Tour Guy provided guide didnt lead the catacombs or the crypt - the crypt was an audioguide you could get from direct booking (for much less money) and the catacombs had their own guy. The transport to the crypt was a great value, but also done through another company. The experience is good, but Tour Guy is mostly a middleman for this tour, not really a guide, I think it would be easier to get the exact same experience for much less. Also, the crypt portion was rushed and chaotic. We felt we were not allowed enough time to fully listen to the audioguide.

The tour was well organized, and David was great. The AC vans were perfect, and the crypt was a surprising highlight. The only reason for 4 stars and not five is that the radios didn’t really work that well between the vans - good idea but it was static-y most the time. To avoid this, ride with the guide or book a tour with 8 or less. Also, a smaller group would make the catacombs more enjoyable to hear the guide.
