Tour Degustazione Vini sul Vesuvio con Pranzo: Un'Esperienza Unica

Outstanding driver Peppe. He was fun and kept the ride lively with some great tunes. He also provided a bonus tour by taking us high above Naples for a great view of the city The vineyard tour and lunch were outstanding. Wine was great and the pasta was top notch. This tour exceeded our expectations. With great explanations of the wine making process.

I’m very sorry to write this because I had high hopes for this experience, but it was a waste of time and money. The visit to the vineyards lasted 5 minutes, followed by another 10 minutes of talking about the production process. No one gave us any detailed information about the wines; we were simply seated at a table. Food was served, along with 4 wines in homeopathic quantities. Seriously, no more than 1 cm of each. The wines were simply poured by the waiters, with perhaps one sentence of commentary, mainly mentioning the alcohol percentage. Our driver, Roberto, was very professional and kind, but that doesn’t change my overall impression of the tour. It’s a tourist trap — avoid it.

The position of the vineyard did not disappoint! As this was a first for my family, there were no grand expectations, but with 5 of the 6 being non-drinkers (there for the history & understanding of the process mostly), I requested for a non-alcoholic option, but was not told that would only be juice or water. However, to learn the history of the ownership, walk through a portion of the vineyard, see and learn the process from smashing to bottling and storage was simply amazing! The driver and his son were extremely personable and provided tidbits of history and information along the way. The pasta was fresh and delicious and the servers were more than attentive during the tasting. The price point of the store was great as I purchased a bottle as a gift. Would definitely recommend this tour 1,000 times over!! Thank you Russo Family❤️

The tour did not live up to its price or the experience promised. At the winery, the guide showed us the production facilities, but the explanation was brief, and much of it focused more on jokes than on information about the winemaking process. In reality, we did not learn very much. We did not even have a tour of the vineyard itself—the grape fields. We were simply told that it was too hot, even though everyone in the group wanted to see the vineyard, and no one felt that going outside would have been impossible. The lunch did not impress me personally, although that may simply be a matter of taste. I liked the wines, but we also received very little information about the wines during the tasting. Our group people from different countries who had not met before. The most enjoyable part of the tour was talking together around the lunch table. After the tour, we felt that we had paid to be taken for lunch with a group of people near Vesuvius, rather than for an actual vineyard tour.
