Mozzarella Experience: tour in caseificio a Vico Equense

Ich habe noch so gut wie nie eine Rezension geschrieben, aber dieses Perle hat es einfach verdient, wir haben dort einen unvergesslichen Tag erlebt. Wer einmal richtig in die Geheimnisse des Mozzarellas und anderer lokaler Käsesorten eintauchen möchte, ist hier goldrichtig. Antonio und seine Partnerin betreiben diese kleine Käserei in der fünften Generation mit Herzblut. Man spürt ihre Leidenschaft für die Produkte und den Stolz auf ihr Handwerk und die Tradition. In unserem zweistündigen Schnupperkurs konnten wir Antonio über die Schulter schauen und auch selbst Hand anlegen. Mit viel Liebe und Fingerfertigkeit entstanden vor unseren Augen kleine Kunstwerke, die wir später - zusammen mit anderen hauseigenen Käsevariationen - auch probieren konnten. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohl gefühlt, so stellen wir uns Italien abseits der ausgetretenen Touristenpfade vor. Unbedingt nachmachen!

I had the pleasure of attending a mozzarella workshop at this wonderful family-run business, now already in its 6th generation. The visit was both fascinating and informative — you can truly feel the tradition and passion behind their work. The family was extremely welcoming and kind, creating a warm atmosphere throughout the experience. The tasting was absolutely delicious, and the quality of their products is outstanding. Every question was answered with great care, and they even offered the possibility to reach out via WhatsApp in the future for further questions — a truly personal touch. A highly recommended experience for anyone interested in authentic mozzarella and high-quality local products!

Searched where to go in the morning and this exerience seemed like a fun thing to do. Booked it and had only an hour to get there. Started the walk from Vico Equense and what a climb! We're in good shape, but the heat and the steep climb took a toll. Resting couple of times on the way, we managed the climb. Great view half way up. The place is gorgeus and the owners are very friendly. Walked around their garden before the thing started. We were lucky to be the only ones there this time. They showed how fiore di latte (mozzarella) was made and all other kind of cheese. Got to make some our selves. Was joyful and ineresting. Afterwards sat in the garden and ate different kind of cheese, some ham and wine. Bought some along too. All this was well worth the climb 😄. Would do it again any time. The family is great.
