Fabulous tour! Pompeii is a marvel. Our guide Gennaro was terrific. Fun personality and super knowledgeable. He planned a good route to circumvent most of the crowds. Get him as your guide if you can.

It says tickets are included but they are not. The guide told us to give them 18 euros per adult and they would stand in line to buy them for us. We chose this tour because the tickets were included. We didn’t expect to have to pay another 36 euros. Fortunately our 2 kids were free otherwise it would have been an additional 72 euros. When we questioned why they said every tour provider has to say tickets included to be competitive. Right…. However we felt stuck since we were already there so we went with it but I will be contacting the company to reimburse us for the 36 euros. The tour started 50 minutes late after we arrived 15 minutes early. The guide was decent but stopped and talked a little too long each time reminding us how his tour was personal and asking us if his English was good and if we understood. It was fine to ask once but every time was redundant and time wasting. The tour group size is up to 14 so it is a small group tour, not private.

Abbiamo avuto il piacere di fare un tour privato con Gennaro. Ci ha guidato attraverso i punti clou di Pompei, fino alla scoperta delle nuove aree appena inaugurate. Ottima guida

I had a large group of people with me that were difficult to organize which led us to being late to the group tour: However the tour guide was incredibly patient with us and helped us to purchase tickets despite the delay. Our guide was incredibly informed about the city, giving us a lot of information and being able to describe and tell everything to the tiniest detail, allowing for constant engagement and a very informative experience in a span of only a couple of hours. The tour is very fair for its price and is the ideal for when you’re on a budget or traveling in groups. Overall it was a wonderful experience allowing us to experience all the wonders of Pompei in a short amount of time with a very knowledgeable guide.
