Catania: Tour Guidato alla Fattoria Pozzo di Gaspare con Degustazioni

Our family really enjoyed the tour, the owner, Giuseppe, really goes above and beyond for his guests. He picked us up at the gate and then he gave us a tour around the farm telling us the history of the farm and how the farm works. When it got too hot for us, he quickly organised for us to be taken to the farm to sit in the shade. The lunch was so lovely, fresh ricotta, olives, olive oil with bread, really delicious. We arrived to the farm by taxi but could not find the taxi to go back to Catania, and Giuseppe gave us a lift to the nearest station, which was really nice of him. Highly recommended.

The best experience we've had in Catania so far! We had a wonderful tour of his farm, and the hospitality was exceptional. The olive oil was absolutely delicious, served with fresh bread and a selection of excellent cheeses. We bought some olive oil to take home and can't wait to use it. It's rare that we would rate an experience higher than 10/10, but this one truly deserves it. Highly recommended!

Giuseppe was an amazing host. He was so welcoming, and offered us a wealth of knowledge about Pozzo di Gaspard farm. At the end of our tour he offered us samples of various products which was delicious and a perfect way to end our afternoon. The best possible experience in Sicily. A huge farm at the foot of Mount Etna, with a guided tour led by the magnetic Giuseppe, who tells the story of every inch of land with tremendous passion. At the end, there is a tasting featuring a huge variety of local products prepared with Giuseppe’s exceptional craftsmanship. Every piece of bread dipped in olive oil, every slice of cheese, and every orange segment feels like a warm hug from our grandmother, wrapped in the sweet breeze of Sicily. An incredible experience not to be missed! And to top it all off, it was still possible to purchase true liquid gold: extra virgin olive oil of outstanding quality!

It was a great and authentic tour! So interesting to learn how the oranges, almonds and olives grow and to take a walk on the farm. The tasting was very delicious, we tried different kinds of local products and loved them all. We bought some high-quality olive oil which tastes great. We highly recommend the tour, Giuseppe was very nice and it was organized perfectly! Thank you again!

After the tour, Giuseppe organized a delightful tasting. We savored fresh bread with olive oil, a refreshing orange salad, and an extraordinary orange jam unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. The olive oil was simply divine—rich, aromatic, and bursting with flavor. Giuseppe’s genuine passion for his work is evident in every detail. I cannot recommended this experience enough. We had the most wonderful time at Giuseppe's farm! He was very knowledgeable and answered all questions with passion and genuine interest. We were lucky to taste an orange that had not fallen to the ground and it was a piece of blood-orange heaven. Pozzo di Gaspare is magical and has a rich history which Giuseppe proudly spoke about. I would come back everytime I visit Sicily: to eat fresh oliveoil, oranges, and his homemade orange marmalade! 🧡

Visiting Pozzo di Gaspare was one of the highlights of our recent trip to Sicily! From the farm tour to the lovely lunch to the olive oil and honey we brought back with us, everything was idyllic. Giuseppe was a wonderful host! We had children ages 6, 4, and 2 with us, and they had a fabulous time roaming the farm, interacting with the crazy geese, and tasting the fruits of Giuseppe's hard work! This farm is truly a gem, and we will most definitely be back.

This was a wonderful opportunity to glimpse the opportunities and challenges of a farm started in the 18th century and that continues today under the leadership of its third generation who is investing in best practices to grow and expand their production of olives, blood oranges and almonds. Our family was warmly hosted by its owner who toured the fields with us explaining the farming and crop life cycle and then a wonderful meal . It was a genuine chance to connect with Italy and its people.
