We had a wonderful day with Christian. We were lucky to be the only couple on the tour and we were treated with a great tour. The scenery was beautiful and the wine and food was amazing. We weren’t in San Gimignano as long as we hoped but we caught an awesome medieval parade which was great and Christian went out of his way to find us a great scenic view of San Gimignano . Grazie Christian.

The guide did not tell us much about what we were seeing or doing. He would just say be back at the bus at a certain time. He did not give any information about San Gimignano. More time was spent at the two wineries than in San Gimignano. One hour to wander San Gimignano was not enough time to enjoy the hillside town. The wineries were hoping you would buy wine. Find a better tour than this one.

Overall it was pretty good. However, the second winery was disappointing. The staff there were rude and made a point to make us feel out of place. We felt fairly uncomfortable most of the lunch. The food was not great as well. It was a bit hard to dress for this tour as we were at a small farm wine tour in the morning then a very fancy winery in the afternoon. That being said, the first wine tour we did was amazing. We absolutely loved it. The owners were lovely and made the experience so much better. Our driver Simone was great as well and very accommodating.

Overall, we enjoyed our experience, but wish the tour had been a little more specific up front about the wineries we would be visiting. The first place we visited was an excellent facility. I wish we could’ve had our tour there. Instead, we had our tour at the smaller, family-run facility, which was still a great experience, but the tour itself only lasted a few minutes. I wish our tour guide had been a little bit more talkative and informative.
