Tour in barca a Siracusa: snorkeling, Pillirina e le grotte marine di Ortigia

Rocked up at the office and lady had to keep walking between the office and docks, every time she left we had to vacate the office and wait outside until she returned or it was our turn. They delayed our start by 10 minutes and then had us waiting at the docks another 10 minutes before take off because they had to refuel. We headed out, boat was basic but very nice, crystal bottom was nice but not worth it, couldn’t see anything. Saw a few caves which was very cool. Headed to a snorkeling spot but they only had 2 goggles between 6 people and no snorkels so that was a bit upsetting. Also once we got in the water wasn’t much that you could see and second spot you couldn’t see anything. They provided prosecco and some fruits but no water. Sunset was beautiful. Ended up being 2 hours total but we were okay with this given the lack of snorkelling and ready to head off for food. All in all a good experience and wonderful sunset. But a few things that could be improved…

We loved our boat trip. We were glad we booked the 2.5 hours as the length felt perfect. We enjoyed the sunset swims and seeing the amazing sea caves etc. our guide Antonino was great. He had good information and also knew when to give us our own space as a family. We would highly recommend doing this activity as part of a visit to Syracuse.

Wow, wow, wow!! Everything was fantastic! Our guide, Dario, made this experience truly unforgettable. We sailed on a beautiful transparent boat and were treated to Prosecco, fresh fruit, and other drinks throughout the trip. We made several stops for swimming and snorkeling. If you can’t swim, don’t worry – life jackets are available, so everyone can enjoy the experience safely. Dario shared fascinating stories about Syracuse, showing us its most important landmarks and explaining their history. We also entered several stunning sea caves, which made the tour even more special. Dario, thank you so much for the wonderful time and for sharing your knowledge with us. Unserer Meinung nach hätte die Tour aufgrund des Seegangs eigentlich abgesagt werden sollen, weil die ganze Tour dadurch nicht vollständig gemacht werden konnte. Positiv war aber unser Guide, der uns sicher von A nach B gebracht hat. Er war auch total bemüht uns Wissenswertes zu erzählen und hat auch zweimal probiert, ob wir weiter aufs Meer rausfahren können um vielleicht doch noch die Höhlen anzuschauen. Musste er dann aber abbrechen. Schade.
