Tour di Gruppo in Vespa in Toscana con Degustazione Vini: Firenze/Badesse

My family of 7 has a wonderful time exploring the little towns of Tuscany. This is the perfect day adventure for anyone looking to see the iconic rolling hills of Tuscany. There is nothing better than riding a Vespa through the Chianti region see little towns and hidden gems of the region. Our guide Diego was amazing and taught us about the region and knew all the good spots to go. This tour was worth the money and I would recommend to anyone staying in the region.

The check-in process took much longer than expected. It's almost an hour long drive to the starting point of the vespa tour, and then our group just had one person processing paperwork, etc. So the actual tour started around 11am and ended around 430pm. The wine tasting and lunch was in a beautiful location, but the overall experience was okay. Some items that were mentioned we were going to taste didn't actually happen and it seemed a tad rushed, but the wine was delicious. With that said, the actual time spent on the vespa and the beautiful sightseeing was awesome! Glad we did it.

What a blast! If you are traveling with high school/college aged kids then take a break from all the museums and historical and amazing sites and do this for a day. Our boys (18 and 20) loved St Peters, the Vatican, the Coliseum, the Duomo, etc, but thanked us for a day in the countryside riding Vespas and taking a wine tour. (Just have to be a licensed driver). It’s a 30 min van drive out to the vespas, then a great ride along quiet farm land and wineries. We stopped in 2 quaint hilltop towns and had lunch/tour/wine tasting at a small winery. Good group. Both tour guides Lofti and Matteo were patient and polite entire day. The only caveat I would mention is that the meeting place was tricky to find - even our cab driver was perplexed- we ended up calling the bar where we were supposed to meet and they gave the cab driver more specific directions. So give yourself time to find it and avoid the stress. Otherwise, it was worth every dollar.

We had a private driver to the meeting point where Vespas were kept in a garage whoth Fiats for rent too. I felt very safe because our guide and partner made sure we felt secure on a test drive 1st. Once that was out of the way we hit the hills and it was beautiful. We saw 2 castles, learned about the history of the area, and enjoyed a wine tasting with meal at a winery. The drive was beautiful, our group was friendly, and the guides cheerful... and the motorcycles were a ton of fun to drive! I'd do it again for sure and highly recommend this guide.

Be ready to spend a lot of time filling out paperwork. To say it was difficult is an understatement. Common sense would say if the group is English speaking, someone at the desk should speak some English. No just a somewhat grumpy person who’s only English was “OK!” If you think you can just hop on a Vespa and hit the countryside, guess again! You need to pass a test in the small parking lot half of which is gravel before they will take you out on the road. Don’t even think about going double if you’ve never rode before. They will make you pay the additional $ to go single. If you do crash the practice Vespa that’s been crashed 1000 times already be ready to fight the office staff for the cost of damaging the Vespa. The guides we had were really good and we did have a good time once we finally got on the road. Lunch at the winery was the high lite of the trip. Dress warm! If the weather is iffy, you will freeze your butt off cruising around the countryside.

The tour was great. Guides were helpful. Good lunch with tasting of Tuscan wines. In spite of this, given that i lost the vespa's key, at the end of the tour for a lost key the leader asked me 450 € of refund. Ridiculous!! After my protest, they changed idea and they asked me 100 €(however too much!!).... Oh, why so suddenly? However It was too much for only One Key. He told me a ridiculous story about change a key, ecc.. So, advise against. Don't trust!!
