Don’t miss this experience if you are in Puglia . Altamura is the Mecca for authentic bread . The “laboratory “ bakery was a perfect place to learn the “move” to make the perfect loaf . Our group of 6 enjoyed learning about the culture and the history behind the recipes and the use of the oak burning oven . We were able to share in the tasting of focaccia and other special treats. Giuseppe and his father, Nicola carefully demonstrated the techniques and were so kind to us. We will not forget this special day !

Great experience! We loved learning how to make the bread as well as the history of the bakery itself and how important bread is to this region. The other items the bakery makes are also delicious. We left full and happy. I also think this was the most personal experience of all the options available in Altamura, definitely happy we chose these gents and this bakery! Thanks guys for a fantastic memory!

We really enjoyed the charming Giuseppe. The tasting was ample and delicious. Don't eat before you go. Don't show up too early. Parking not available until 2pm. Because that is when the adjacent school lets out. Go enjoy the town too. It's close. The history of Giuseppe and his family and the bread business they have run for generation is fascinating . They do a huge daily volume

Our Altamura Bread Experience was incredible. Giuseppe and Luigi were great. I really enjoyed making Cornetto Bread - Although I was not great at it. I had a great time. The bread was amazing! I had heard great things but didn’t expect bread could taste so good. The other treats that they make in the bakery were also wonderful. Their dedication to their craft and culture of Altamura bread made this experience special.
