Da Roma: Santuario di Padre Pio e Grotta di San Michele

Perfect day trip to the shrine of Padre Pio. More than just a visit, Ara, our guide and Max (not Mario) our driver made sure the trip was worth the long journey from Rome. Ara was kind and courteous and made sure to share all the little details of all the places we visited. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and not rushed. Max was very dependable and made sure to give assistance whenever needed. An added surprise was the beautiful landscape along the way. This alone made the 8 hr trip bearable and well worth it. Highly recommended tour by Mamma Mia Tours and Get Your Guide.

Overall our guides were amazing! Both gentlemen were humble, kind, and knowledgeable and especially friendly! We made a few stops along the way for food and bathroom breaks which was extremely helpful! Also, guiding us throughout the whole tour was a plus to immerse ourselves into the life of St. Padre Pio and of the knowledge behind St. Michael’s Cave. Highly recommend you book this tour!

We did the Padre Pio and St. Michael the Archangel Cave tour in San Giovanni Rotondo, and I can’t say enough good things about it. This was our second day in Rome, and I had booked the tour months ago. Our guide, Antonella, and our driver, Walter, were both incredibly professional, friendly, and welcoming. Antonella was so sweet and took the time to answer all of our questions, sharing information about the sites that we didn’t already know. Walter was a true gentleman and made the journey comfortable and enjoyable. We were the only guests on the tour, so we received undivided attention throughout the day, which made us feel very special. Although it’s a long day, it is absolutely worth it. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit these sacred sites. Grazie for a wonderful adventure today! — Brenda and Frank

We traveled from Costa Rica and decided to visit the sanctuary during our time in Italy, and it was an unforgettable experience. Micaela, our guide, was exceptional; she took us to every place and explained the history in detail. The transportation was excellent, and we loved our guide's restaurant recommendation. Without a doubt, it was an incredible experience, and we would love to return and visit other equally beautiful places in Italy. 100% recommended!

We had a wonderful experience with Mamma Mia Italia Tours in Rome, both tours exceeded our expectations! Our first tour, Private Tour to Assisi and Cascia, was amazing. Giulio was fantastic, knowledgeable, engaging, and spontaneous, making the experience both fun and informative. Our second tour, St. Padre Pio Sanctuary and St. Michael's Cave, was just as great. Traveling with two kids, we really appreciated how Dina and Maximus made everything smooth and enjoyable. Dina was flexible and accommodating, ensuring our kids were comfortable with well-timed breaks. Despite rainy and windy weather, Maximus drove expertly, and we felt completely safe. Both guides brought each place to life with their knowledge and storytelling, making the tours feel personal and memorable. We’ll definitely book with Mamma Mia Italia Tours again when we return to Rome!

Our visit to the Sanctuary of Padre Pio and St. Michael’s Grotto was truly a profound and unforgettable spiritual experience. The sacred atmosphere of both sites brought a deep sense of peace, reflection, and gratitude that we will always cherish. A special thanks to our guide, Dina, whose knowledge and passion made the journey even more meaningful. She shared insightful stories and historical details with such clarity and warmth, ensuring that every moment was enriching and memorable. Her thoughtfulness and attentiveness to our group made us feel comfortable and well cared for throughout the tour. We are equally grateful to our driver, Maximo, for his professionalism and safe driving. His calm and courteous demeanor added to the overall smooth and enjoyable experience. This tour was not just a trip, but a spiritual journey that touched our hearts deeply. Highly recommended to anyone seeking both inspiration and a deeper connection to faith.
