Da Roma: Villa d'Este e Villa Adriana - Biglietti Salta la Fila con Trasferimenti

I Had an amazing day! First half unfortunately rained but our tour guide Gisepe was so informative and interesting to listen to that it didn't matter. Second half we had lunch a little time to wander through Tivoli. Then into the Palace Wow !! All I can say fabulous paintings on the walls from an era only portrayed in movies and the waterfall that played music transported me back and allowed me to dream of the palace gardens and the privileged at a garden ball . Gardens are so Bellisssamo!! I'd do it all again!! Thank you for a truly lovely day and a memory forever . Do this trip !!

Non posso fare una recensione perché alla fine non abbiamo preso il tour, ma avremmo dovuto farlo. Invece abbiamo preso il treno da Roma Tiburtina a Tivoli. Mi aspettavo che avremmo potuto prendere i taxi a Tivoli - dopo tutto, è una delle principali attrazioni turistiche - ma si è rivelato impossibile. Siamo finiti a visitare Villa d'Este, una lunga passeggiata dalla stazione ferroviaria, e ci siamo divertiti. Non siamo mai arrivati a Villa Adriana (anche se c'è un autobus urbano che ci va, non l'abbiamo preso). Quindi, come ho scritto, sarebbe stato molto meglio fare questo tour. Abbiamo prenotato con diversi giorni di anticipo e, a differenza di altri tour che avevamo prenotato, questo non era cancellabile, quindi abbiamo semplicemente perso i soldi che avevamo pagato (e non era economico).

Hadrians villa and Villa d'Este .. bucket list items for me. But having bought a ticket one would have thought it actually included a tour... NOT an optional extra that I didn't see to tick the box. Guide treated us as pharias and couldn't get rid of us quickly enough as we hadn't ticked the audio box on booking!! She wanted nothing to do with us. Other tour group members who did have the guide commented that she was useless and skipped most of the important elements... at villa d este for instance no mention was made of the 100 waterfalls!!!! They said. Luckily we had researched both villas and knew what to look out for by ourselves. So the day wasn't completely lost. Another annoying thing was timing... we were rushed through Hadrians villa to be taken to a cute but non description village Tivoli for a 2 hour lunch!!! As the villa d este didn't open till 2pm. Why were we pushed out of Hadrians where another hour at least was needed to wander aimlessly around a village... again it was all too rushed at villa d este.. we ran thru the house with its stunning interiors to see the garden.. all so the bus could leave at 3:30 to drop the guide home!!! Perhaps she was on child after school pick up duty too.... in short all far too rushed.. the bus is another story... held together with tape and rather dirty and well past its useful life. No seat belts either The driver was v capable tho on the narrow roads. In short.. the whole day was rush rush rush. I would suggest go to these stunning venues but allow a day a piece... but not with this company.
