Roma: Tour Privato del Foro Romano tra Miti e Leggende

We probably would’ve preferred an audio tour. The guide was OK but the information felt quite disconnected and wasn’t a consistent history of the site. He shared interesting stories about various leaders of Rome, etc. He knew the answers to some questions but not others, like how much of the forum has been excavated. Tour was also longer than necessary for such a small site

Paolo was a fantastic guide! The reason I booked this tour was because my earlier tour with a different tour company to Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill didn't cover Roman Forum at all. There were only three people and the guide in our tour. Paolo knew everything about everything and told interesting stories. Not only did the tour take 30 minutes more than advertized, after the tour Paolo walked with us to Palatine Hill and even gave a tour through everything there! That took another 2 hours. Eventually we had to leave the area when it was closed. So, long story short - we got great value for our money. Absolutely the best experience of my whole trip to Rome! And trust me - if you want to know more about Roman Forum, those "Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill" tours are not enough.

(Sunrise at the Colosseum was een absoluut unieke ervaring.)

I ended up being the only person who took the 3pm session so this was a completely private tour! Paolo in depth knowledge or the forum, legends and characters from ancient times astounded me. We ran overtime very easily, there is just too much to tell about such a prolific area. Paolo also had reconstruction images to show so you could get the whole perspective of just what the forum would have looked like. This tour really stuck with me, I learnt so much! Cannot recommend more!

The excursion ecxeeded my expectation! Paolo is a very professional guide, knows a lot about Roman history and mythology and tells in an easy manner. Defenitely recommend this tour and guide! The excursion lasted even more then planned – so many interesting details. Thanks for answering all questions! Being in a small group is an advantage.
