Roma: Tour Notturno Colosseo, Foro Romano e Fontana di Trevi

After much research, I booked this tour because it was supposed to end in the Colosseum and allow you more time to explore post-tour. So it was very disappointing when we started there and did not have that opportunity. We also had issues with ticketing (everyone else had printed tickets, but we'd been overlooked), and the audio system broke for me and at least 2 other people that I saw. However, our tour guide - Flavia - was FANTASTIC. She went beyond the facts to paint a picture of how the Colosseum was viewed at the time of use and since, and the role it played in propaganda and power. It changed how I understood this part of history.

Quite expensive compared with the other activities available in Rome, but the actual tour was very interesting and informative and the guide was excellent. We chose the tour without the forum and palatine hill, which made meeting up with the touring party (as we joined half way) very difficult. We got to the meeting point in plenty of time but there was no one there from the tour operator to meet us and we had to try and get in touch directly to get them to send someone to meet us and take us to the group
