Borromean Islands: Isola Bella & Isola Madre Entry Ticket

To truly appreciate the islands at their best you really need to buy the entry tickets. These tickets will get you into the gardens and the grand houses on both islands. Isola Madre was beautiful and once pass the gates you can wander through the gardens at your leisure following the designated paths on the map, which culminates on entering the big house, and you can spend as much or as little time as you want looking at its contents. Isola Bella,we found to be stunningly beautiful, the gardens laid over ten terraces in a pyramid shape are superbly laid out with a colourful assortment of masses of flowers etc and the views are amazing.. The palace on Bella is also beautiful and filled with an abundance of treasures. Both islands are accessible only by a short boat journey not covered by these tickets and due to the same may not be suitable for people with severe mobility difficulties.
