What's included

Discover the timeless charm of the Murgia on an evening tour that combines authentic flavors. The journey begins at 6:00 PM in a comfortable shared minivan to Altamura. You will have an hour to explore the medieval center and visit the two most iconic historic bakeries, where the smell of PDO bread and freshly baked focaccia tells the story of centuries of tradition.
At 7:45 PM, we will leave for Matera, the City of the Sassi. You will arrive during the "Blue Hour", when the lights come on, transforming the city into a living nativity scene. You will have over three hours of complete freedom: you can dine in a typical tavern carved into the rock in the heart of the Sassi, stroll through the quiet alleys of the Barisano and Caveoso, or admire the Gravina canyon under the stars. Without the stress of parking or rigid itineraries, you will experience Matera in its most intimate and magical form. The tour concludes at 11:00 PM with the meeting point for the return journey, ensuring you'll be back at the departure point by midnight.

Punctuality: The tour starts at exactly 6:00 pm. Please be at the meeting point fifteen minutes before the designated departure time.
Clothing: Walking shoes with non-slip soles are strongly recommended. Matera's basolato (paving) is ancient and can be slippery, especially in the evening.
Climate: Even during the summer, the Murgia can be windy at night. It is recommended that you bring a light jacket or scarf.
Accessibility: Due to the natural conformation of the Sassi of Matera (stairs, slopes, and uneven terrain), this activity is not recommended for those with reduced mobility or in wheelchairs.
Dinner: Since the stop in Matera is for free exploration, we suggest you book your favorite tavern in advance, especially on weekends
