From Sorrento: Private Day Trip to Positano, Amalfi & Ravello

We enjoyed our private tour of the Almalfi coast very much. Our driver, Salvatore, was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed hoods commentary and ability to drive through so much traffic. I would recommend having a good idea of the places you’d like to go most, because it wasn’t possible to go to Positano, Amalfi & Ravello, unless you only wanted 15-30 minutes at each stop. We really wanted to see the gardens in Ravello so skipped Amalfi. Before we stopped for lunch, he took us to a ceramics shop across the street. We didn’t want to be rude, but felt we lost 30 minutes to a tourist trap. If you know what’s important to you then this would be a great way to see the coast.

Our tour guide Salvatore was amazing! He is very well known and respected everywhere we stopped at the Amalfi coast. We were introduced to everyone he greeted and felt like family. Salvatore has been working as a tour guide for over 20yrs and he is definitely very proud of what he does. Salvatore provided the best service and was the best part of our vacation!

Wonderful day with Dominico! He was so knowledgeable and took us to all the best photo, shopping, and sightseeing spots. Recommended a lunch place in Ravello that was one of the best meals of our week in Italy. Helped us with a dinner reservation too at his friend Mario’s place in Sorrento and it was amazing too! Best way to see Amalfi coast without dealing with a crowded bus or boat!

As cidades são lindas a paisagem belíssima . Motorista pontual e gentil . Carro confortável . Excelente experiência ! Apenas o restaurante que almoçamos poderia ter sido bem melhor . Foi uma sugestão do guia que não repetiria ( melhor escolher um local com indicação) . Quem tem náuseas sugiro levar um medicamento pois a estrada é muito suntuosa e realmente .

Excellent driver/guide. Nothing but positive experience. As for the sites we visited-very touristy. I knew we were going to highly visited places but even them I feel we did not get an intimate experience. That is not the fault of the company but I say it so if you are considering this tour your are aware. One hour in Positano, about 45 minutes in Ravello and an hour in Amalfi. Except for Ravello all were similar. Similar items for sale etc. That said, the drive is very nice and given the driving practices and lack of parking I would not do on my own. Just know that you will feel like part of a crowd getting off a cruise ship even with ni cruise ship there.

This was a private hire trip for 4 people from Sorrento to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. The driver was polite enough but by the end if the day, we felt a little misled. He told us things en route that once googled weren’t that accurate; he booked us into a restaurant for lunch that was clearly a pre-planned stop with a limited menu (lots of coaches stopped there). We didn’t like the menu - too heavy for lunch - and moved on to Amalfi where we arranged a lovely simple authentic lunch… don’t be roped in! We were also told that ‘it wasn’t worth going to Ravello as it was mostly shut as it’s out if season’. We found out that this wasn’t the case and had been misled sadly missing out on seeing the village as planned. We had also done our research on what to see in each place snd asked the driver to divert to a few ‘5* rated trip advisor’ things but he talked them down and wasn’t keen to go off his normal route so all in all, we’d say this was a lot of money for a formulaic trip that didn’t
