Colosseum Arena Floor, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill Guided Tour

Alessio was a wonderful guide, informative and passionate. He led the tour with a calmness that was appreciated amongst the crowds in both the Colosseum and the Forum. The tour itself was great, walking on the Arena floor provided a great perspective of what it must have been like all those years ago. The tour of the Forum was great too, we could have been guided for another few hours in that location but we knew in 2.5hrs you can’t see everything.

Absolutely fantastic! The main point is how considerate our guide was, it was such a hot day and he made sure to keep us in the shade where possible, tell us where the fountains were to get more water, the bathrooms and even offered to take photos of people. He provided such great historical insight into the colosseum and its history and so many interesting facts around it. I definitely recommend to have a guided tour in places of such great importance like this because it makes so much more sense and you’re adding meaning to what’s in front of you. You also get access to the arena and the first floor and it’s hassle free because you just need to show up and follow him and he scans everyone’s tickets where required.

The Coliseum is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see an amazing structure from our ancient civilization past. WOW...what a site to see. Our guide Alessio was terrific as he has lots of pictures to show how everything looked back 2000 years ago and does a great job of trying to insert you back into that time. very good tour....Amazing place....

Our tour guide, Sylvia, was wonderful. She is an archeologist and shared many interesting insights with us. She was very friendly, taking pictures of families, answering questions, and giving tips about Rome. The process to get in was smooth and we had plenty of time to explore. With all of the recent changes for entry to the Colosseum I was concerned. I wrote to the company to double check that we would indeed still be able to get in and they were very responsive. I would definitely recommend this tour and company.

This tour was great! Alesso was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable and tried to keep us in the shade as much as possible in the heat. The ear pieces were a little difficult to hear at times but I think that was due to the amount of people there and just background noise in general. The arena floor was awesome! My only complaint is that in this heat there needs to be more time for breaks and WATER bottle refills!!!There were a couple of moments I felt faint due to the heat and my water bottle being empty along the tour. We did have a couple opportunities to refill the water but it was SO hot that it just wasn’t enough and that’s really at no fault of our guide. Just bring extra water if you can. Other than that it was a great experience!
