La Spezia: Taste Cinque Terre on a Full Meal Food Tour

I loved the way our tour guide (Manuela) related our food experience to the region and history of the region. Being a native of La Spezia, she was able to take us to authentic local restaurants. She also had a wonderful welcoming manner, sense of humor, and was able to answer all of our questions. Would definitely recommend this tour to friends and family.

Gaia was a fantastic guide! We booked this tour for our first evening in La Spezia with the intention of getting our bearings for the local area and an introduction to the local culture and cuisine. We walked at a leisurely pace throughout the city as Gaia introduced us to five Ligurian specialties and educated us to the origins of the specialties and local wines. We enjoyed each stop and specialty immensely!! We started our weeklong adventure with a good working knowledge of the landscape and having enjoyed a wonderful tour and delicious food and wine! We would highly recommend Gaia and this tour.

Erg leuke gids, zij maakte echt het verschil en had veel te vertellen. Wij vonden van de 5 plekken waar we geweest zijn er maar een echt leuk daar hebben we even rustig gegeten met een glaasje wijn en dat was echt lekker. Op de andere plekken was het een beetje eenvoudig en eerlijk gezegd was de prijs/kwaliteits verhouding vonden wij te duur.

We really enjoyed our guide, Beatrice. Loved walking the city, seeing all the shops and enjoying. However, the description says 5 restaurants are included, and we were only brought to 3 restaurants & 1 bar. Also, 2 of the 3 restaurants we were served bread. Plain focaccia, then a beautiful bread dish served with pesto. Second place was fried calamari. We did not have one real meal, so it’s not worth the money. We are disappointed. What helped us get through the night was our enjoyable group.
