Palermo: Vintage Fiat 500 Sightseeing Tour - Experience the Dolce Vita!

What a wonderful way to see Palermo Monte Pelligrino and Mondello! It wasn’t just driving and stopping for pictures in an awesome vintage Fiat, that part alone would have made the experience worth the time and money. It also was very informative on the places we visited and history behind it all. My wife and I had the BEST time and highly recommend the experience.

Salvatore and Neve were exceptional hosts/guides. Very accommodating, kind, and professional in all interactions, before the tour and during. One can feel the love and skill Salvatore has put into restoring these sweet, iconic cars. The drive up to the Santa Rosalía chapel was exhilarating and the site is a must-visit. Neve had interesting commentary via walkie-talkie. We all had lots of laughs. We 100% recommend this tour. Experiences like this make travel even more worthwhile! Grazie Mille! ME and Brian

If there is one activity in Palermo that you must do, it’s this one! Absolutely amazing, so much fun but also a wonderful way to see the beautiful city of Palermo, such attentive hosts who communicate the whole tour on brilliant walkie talkies highlighting things we would have probably missed and making stops for us to walk around places of interest. I usually do tours on my trips but this one tops them all! I cannot recommend this enough and who knows if you fall in love with one of these vintage 500’s you can commission Salvatore with his amazing artisan skills, to create one for you to buy. Die Fiat 500 Oldtimer Tour durch Palermo war ein echtes Highlight! 🎉 Die kleinen Autos sind nicht nur zuverlässig und angenehm zu fahren, sondern auch ein absoluter Blickfang. Überall zauberten sie den Menschen ein Lächeln ins Gesicht und uns Teilnehmern gleich mit. Die Tour macht glücklich und ist ein Erlebnis, das man nicht so schnell vergisst. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Drei Stunden sind fast zu kurz. Man hat das Gefühl, die Sehenswürdigkeiten etwas „durchhetzen“ zu müssen. Vier Stunden würden hier deutlich besser passen, damit man die einzelnen Stopps entspannter genießen kann. Insgesamt aber eine klare Empfehlung unvergesslich und absolut lohnenswert!

Highly recommend as a must do activity to get the best feel of Palermo. I booked this activity as a surprise for my partner and 10 year old son, I did the driving and really enjoyed the challenge of following the guides car through the busy streets of Palermo and then up to Monreale (we chose Monreale as we had already visited Mondello separately) it was amazing to get out of second gear and go up the hill side with the amazing views. We visited the market and stopped at all the main sites…the guides were super flexible and we had a walkie talkie to communicate. My ten year old replied “no thank you” to a couple of offers to stop at churches and the guides just went with the flow. Very lovely guides and also trusting with the vintage car. They took some fantastic videos and photos including of us overtaking their car on the way to Monreale. Thank you for such an amazing day ⭐️

This was a fantastic tour with sightseeing and info about the history of Palermo. It was so so so much fun driving the Fiat! I love old vintage cars and have a vintage car back home. I’m glad these are for driving and not just for show. My Daughter absolutely enjoyed the ride and thought the color of this one (green) was the best. When I come back with my husband I’m making him take this tour. He’s so jealous he couldn’t come with us this time. Thank you for the great time!

It was a blast driving around the historic city in the tiny convertible top cars on tiny streets. You BECOME the attraction with everyone waving and taking photos because it's so cute. You'll feel like a movie star! Definitely bring sunscreen. Definitely know how to drive a stick shift / manual transmission car! Definitely don't be a shy driver -- keep up! The English is a bit sketchy but got the job done. Thank you Salvatore! He made our day and we'll be talking about it for weeks!

First of all, driving around in a vintage Fiat was the dream I never knew I had. Just getting around in an iconic city in a cute red vehicle with the top down was such a giddy experience, even the locals were cheering and waving at us when we passed them by. Secondly, our tour guides Salvatorre and Emmanuella were topnotch and truly accommodating. They showed us an insider’s view of the city, offering to stop and take our pictures at notable places, even thoughtfully placing some water and snacks in the vehicle for the duration of the tour. We got to know the charming Palermo like we never would have on our own within our limited stay. As a bonus, they sent us wonderful pictures and videos that they took of us on the drive. It’s an adventure my friends and I will never forget and was completely worth it. Additional info: the car is manual transmission and if you’re not used to driving one, it can be a little intimidating in the beginning. But you can have a test run and off you’ll go!
