Taormina: Guided Historic Private Tour in Sicily

Agostina kindly shared a wealth of local knowledge and tips as she walked us through Taormina’s Centro Storico . Her historical knowledge was impressive and she was able to answer our endless questions with passion, enthusiasm, humour and patience. We did not feel at all rushed as she ensured that she showed us all the best sights . The highlight for us was the antico teatro made even better by skipping the very long line . I thought this was a small group tour. But arrived to see I was the only one. There was a lot of taking. Good thing that I had done a lot of research on the place and knew the points. I had to tell her where I wanted to go. She gave me a lot of history of the city- took me inside one cathedral. we tried going to the Roman theater but this I did not want to climb up so avoided but I sensed a bit of reluctance also, then she was ready to end it when I said that I would like to see the public gardens. I travel a lot and take these tours in many cities and this was not up to the mark.
