Alba Truffle Hunting with Cheese, Truffle and Wine Tastings

Amanti delle attività in Natura abbiamo molto apprezzato la passeggiata nel bosco alla ricerca dei tartufi e la disponibilità della guida a rispondere a tutte le nostre domande! La preparazione dell'animatrice alla degustazione dei vini ottima, ci ha incantato con tutte le sue conoscenze trasmesse. Ci saremmo aspettati un poco più di cibo e... dei tartufi solo il profumo in un formaggio, ma nessuna degustazione!

Het was een combinatie van een truffeljacht en een wijnproeverij. Het enthousiasme van de honden en liefde van het baasje voor zijn honden is mooi om te zien. En we vonden nog aardig wat truffels ook! De Engelse vertaling werkte prima, een uitstekende taalbeheersing. Aansluitend was een wijnproeverij, waarbij de gastvrouw alle tijd nam en een breed scala aan wijnen voorbij kwam. Tip voor als je nog moet rijden: alleen proeven, niet alles opdrinken… dat zou veel te veel zijn. Zowel truffeljacht als proeverij zijn absoluut het aanraden waard!

The truffle hunt was really nice - the guide only speaks Italian, but we had a translator, so no issues. The lady from the wine shop where the wine tasting is organized is also very nice. Only giving four stars since the title is somewhat misleading - there is actually no truffle tasting. It is just wine and some cheese with truffle flavor. And we had actually decided to book this tour specifically because of the truffle tasting. Then please be aware that you have to pay the guide separately in cash. It is stated in the description and they send you reminders, but it would just be easier if the amount charged when reserving the activity already included everything. And if you consider full price (tour + guide in cash) and that there is no actual truffle tasting (which would justify a higher price), it seems a bit expensive compared to other options.

The experience is outstanding! The intricacies of foraging for truffles were a thrilling sight to watch. The guide and his precious dogs were so happy as were we. Every find was a celebration. We left with a calm and gentle appreciation for the marvels of nature. The wine tasting was highly enjoyable and educational. We loved every moment and look forward to the white truffle, and Nebbiolo and Barolo we brought home. Thank you!

Die Tour mit dem Truffolo und den beiden Hunden war gut. Jedoch der zweite Teil, die Verkostung von Wein, Trüffel und Käse hat uns enttäuscht. Für 79 € pro Person gab es 4 verschiedene Weine in homöopathischer Dosis, wenig Käse und keine Trüffeln, auch nicht die, die auf unserer Trüffeljagd erbeutet wurden. Wir kamen uns vor, wie am Katzentisch, neben uns wurde einem Teil der Gruppe ein mehrgängiges Menue serviert, was für uns sehr befremdlich war. Zusammengefasst: Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmte nicht.
