Tuscany-Latium Wine Tour with Tastings from Civitavecchia

This tour is a must. Our host for the day Stephanie was amazing so knowledgeable and passionate. She was such a delight and even took the time to take us to Tourquina a Unesco protected town oozing with culture, cobblestone roads and homes built in the 1300’s. We booked this tour expecting a small group of up to eight yet there were just four of us together with our guide Elizabeth, who was very welcoming and had a great sense of humor. She showed us many beautiful places along the countryside and we visited two different wineries, which were idyllic Tuscan settings. It was a marvelous day and one of our favorite during our cruise. Just a note that if you go from Civitaveccia allow yourself enough time to get off the ship and over outside the port area. We waited 10 min on our shuttle from to actually leave the port area, and we’re fearful we would miss the excursion, but we did not. Meant a fun couple from Texas who we thoroughly enjoyed. This was probably our favorite tour during our seven night Mediterranean cruise definitely worth every penny. In my opinion we ended up buying a case of wine at one of our stops!

Wow! What an experience! This is a great alternate cruise port excursion traveling to Civitavecchia cruise port instead of a port excursion to Rome. I wanted a true Tuscany experience with wine tasting and that is what I got! I apologize but I forgot our tour guide name I think it was Marque. He was amazing! In addition to visiting 2 wineries with amazing wines with rolling hills of vineyards, he brought us to 2 picturesque little towns and I was able to capture the pics I was hoping for. I highly recommend him as a guide and this tour. At each winery there were small snacks provided. No lunch is provided so bring some additional snacks for to have on your all day excursion.
