Full-Day Bike Rental on the Appian Way with Customizable Routes

magnifique promenade à vtt électrique sur les anciennes voies Romaines un peu chaotique sur certaine portion mais agréable quand même nombreux points d eau sur le parcours execpté sur la fin du parcours. nous avons eu un problème de batterie, qui a été vite résolu si il vous reste du temps vous avez la possibilité de faire un tour dans la forêt où il y a aussi des vestiges et une superbe fontaine

This was an amazing 10/10 experience! A highlight of our trip to Rome. The mountain bikes were in great shape and up to the formidable challenges of the hills and cobblestones, and the staff at the bike shop were super efficient and helpful in getting us set up. Biking the hills of the countryside and having access to so many staggering ruins was thrilling. I recommend packing a lunch of your favorite pizza a taglia/panino in Rome and making a full day of it. There are so many villas and monasteries you can lock your bike and explore. I’m so glad we had this totally exhilarating and unique experience

I just had bike rental, but the map explained the route very well so you could go at your own pace with information on the various monuments along the way. The staff at the bike rental are brilliant helpful and patient I arrived a bit discombobulated later than I meant as I missed stopping the bus so had a longish walk back in the heat on a busy road. After I dropped back my bike the young guy even came out to make sure I knew what buses to return on and pointed out the bus stop. As others have said it is lovely to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city, very peaceful. I had a mountain bike which was a good strong bike. I am not a regular cyclist so I sometimes walked the bike on the side track on the more lumpy bits of the road as I found some a bit narrowbut having said that someone who mountain bikes regularly would not be fazed at all. A really nice and different activity, which was excellent value. My tip make a day of it bring a picnic, start early and enjoy.

Nette Abwechslung zum überfüllten Rom! Die Wege sind aber ausschliesslich für Mountainbikes geeignet und manchmal etwas tricky (Trailerfahrung hilfreich). Leider waren viele Sehenswürdigkeiten gerade abgesperrt obwohl nur an wenigen davon gearbeitet wurde. Trotzdem sehr schöner Ausflug. Unbedingt den Eintritt ins Mausoleum der Metella mitnehmen-tolle VR-Animation! Sonnencreme und Mückenschutz nicht vergessen;-)

This was my most favorite part of this trip to Rome! Thankfully my husband talked me into getting the eBike (worth it!) and the solo ride was wonderful. I do think everyone needs to be aware of how difficult this ride can be at times. The Appian Way is bumpy, like too bumpy to ride a bike on at spots. There is a path on the grass on either side of the ancient road but even that has large rocks and tree roots making it pretty scary at times. If you’re “unsteady” on a bike, you may end up doing a lot of walking. But still totally worth it!!

Il aurait fallu plus d'informations en amont pour mieux planifier l'activité. il y a en effet plein de lieux ( payants) à visiter le long de la via appia cela nous aurait permis de mieux gérer notre temps. De plus, il y avait une petite restauration ( Gipsy) aux 10km et qui aurait le mérite d'être mentionnée avant car le lieu est très sympa ,la restauration et les boissons proposées très bonnes également. concernant la location du vélo électrique, le mien avait quelques défaillances ( vitesses limitées et la selle descendait tout le temps avec les chaos des pavés... aucun geste commercial n'a été fait, ce que j'aurais pourtant apprécié car cela m'a un peu gâché la balade). L'activité en elle-même est très sympa, dans la nature avec un cadre bucolique. l'accueil aussi était très sympa

Activité parfaite et très reposante pour fuir l'agitation touristique du centre-ville. Une découverte sensorielle de l’histoire et des paysages de la proche campagne romaine. Excellents VTT électriques puissants et en bon état, un plaisir à conduire sans effort. Equipe d’accueil parfaite, au guichet comme sur le parc technique. Je recommande à 100%. sans doute la chose qui me laissera les meilleurs souvenirs de mes neuf jours à Rome
