Montalcino: Gourmet Wine & Food Tasting

It was a very dividing experience. The location is truly amazing! On arrival we were seated at a long table in the middle of the room which was set up for 4 people. There was a table for 2 available by the window but I thought that others will joining us. But later on I realised that the reason we weren't put there because the lady who sat us wanted to put her own customers there, who she looked after. That was a bitter pill to take. We were the only couple in the room and we were the only without the view. Our host was nice and knowledgeable, I can't fault him, but the whole experience was lacking of ...some atmosphere. Passion. Excitement. Usually we can't be kicked out from a tasting session but this time I couldn't wait to go. The food was actually very very nice! Great pairings! And I know how much work, effort, passion, patience needed to make wine!!! And it makes it so so hard to say that the wines were...ok. Great potential but something is missing. Go and find it!!!
