Florence: Private Astronomical Tour of the Museo Galileo

If you want to enjoy science then this tour is not well set up. The guide was quite good and did the best. But this is a science museum and it needs time to watch the videos to understand how the devices work and the genius behind the contraptions. With a guide who does not give scientific explanation this is not possible. The guide knew the historical context of the display and did a good job to give us that. It turns out there is a museum app which has extremely good scientific video explanations of the main displays. I suggest doing 2 tours of this museum, if you love science - one without a guide and with the app, for 2 hours. And one quick one with the guide to get the historical and artistic context - but a shorter tour - about 45 mins and in a slightly larger group of 4-6 people.
